  1. So a base grey, than an hours sun with masking and ready for a top coat
  2. Oil canning; on my paint mule I thought I’d change the colour technique a bit and just use a light grey and a darker overspray. You can see the difference between the black and the grey. The lines are not straight but it’s about colour not accuracy on the mule.
  3. Looking good mate. So many opportunities for a large vessel like This, so complex!
  4. What you see here is the remainder of the build minus the railings
  5. So a week away in Tasmania and I’m back at the bench. Got to do the Dawn service at Hobart for ANZAC day. A few coats of grey, and I’ve learnt my lesson, and no decals yet that won’t lift with the masking.
  6. Cool, a big bird farm. Welcome to the lunacy of lots of tiny planes
  7. Main mast redone and the topmasts more similar to the reference photos and very different to the US kit reference
  8. Pontos models makes sets for several kits
  9. http://ka-models.co.kr/?product=1350-dkm-graf-zeppelin-dx&ckattempt=1
  10. I remove the tape after primer coats, the tape would we way too thick this scale. The vertical lines are scribed in
  11. https://micromaster.co.nz/collections/us-aircraft/1-700-scale Did you use these ?
  12. Apparently on her way back from the middle east to Singapore she nearly lost it (mast) It’s aluminium so I can’t cover the sins with Rust like I usually do.
  13. I thought that I may as well keep buildings as opposed to painting yet. Lots of PE. The main mast is going to be stripped again as it’s not aligned properly I did manage to buy a VLS for the fore deck from a discontinued set second hand
  14. Lower hull pretty much done. I’ll eventually give it a bit more salt streaks once the hull is completely done. I gave it a wash of enamel green slime
