  1. Damn that looks good. Depending on how far you wish to send yourself broke, Micromaster has just brought out their guns!
  2. It is the most beautiful aircraft kit in 1/350 ever
  3. Yes, I won’t use them all, just the pick of a poor bunch I expect
  4. So I bought a Trumpeter 6 pack of Kingfishers, and added PE from spare parts. I really don’t like the little kits are they are very basic and misaligned but so be it.
  5. Now I’m sure the Yanks would know, when did the USAAF stop using the Star with the red dot in the middle ?
  6. The first of the 4 types of aircraft I’ll use on Thai build, as you can imagine I have quite a stash of spares in Pe, so firstly the Curtis Seagull, one as a trial to see how it looks then the first trial using some pe and brass rods
  7. The Trumpeter kit for uses the netting in 2 pieces and some ridiculous flimsy arms to hold them, and Eduard provides something better with really **** poor instructions, the net needs to be bent to about 80degrees then it needs a rivet strip among side the top to reflect the real things.
  8. WW2 and modern warships have gantries alongside the flight deck. Langley had a net.
  9. Dude, you are making your own ship! I just stick bits together and whack some paint on them.
  10. Now a dark wash to bring out the planks and a buff overspray to represent wear
  11. So today is deck day. First a base coat, then the deck markings. Weathering next
  12. Thanks boys, i'll go centre made up brown. The US decks were apparently stained mahogany pre war, so it will be fade and damaged.
  13. So another bit of brown and white mixed paint added in the centre, which I think I prefer, and some buff overspray. Suggestions?
