    Thank you for visiting my log. I think there must be reinforcements where the cannon riggings are attached on the bulwarks against recoil. I would be glad if i contribute to your build. By the way, i was following your build on instagram

    I applied mat varnish to the ship and started putting the cannons.

    Hi Anna, this is how i am bending planks. I keep planks in boiled water about 15 mins and clamp it around a suitable glass, lid or somethig like circular object and let it dry. I hope it helps. Regards,

    I remade bilge pumps from wood instead of metal cast pumps given in the kit.

    I had to change the shape of grate in the head because i couldn't make the original shape given in the kit plan. By the way i continued producing detail parts.

    i need some help about rigging between cat davits and anchors because there isn't detail in instruction manuel of the kit and i cannot find anything on the internet either. If anybody have detailed pictures, can you share here please. Thank you in advance.

    What i did in last month.

    I haven't done anything on my build for long time. I got retired and returned back to my homecity. I prepared my balcony as a shipyard to continue my builds. I am sharing what i did on my San Francisco II in last month without comment and i will continue to share developments. I just want to state that altough kit plan does not contain second layer of planking on the hull i did second layer (0,5 mm of mahogany) beause i didn't like first layer.

    Thanks for visiting my log Peter. I have been busy nowadays and have not been able to touch my SM. I just moved to another city and am still preparing my shipyard i hope i will start building soon. regards, Mustafa

    Very good job Peter. I tried to build Santa Maria last year as well. You can check if you want. May i ask which method you are using for tapering the strips at the bow? Do you cut or sand them? Thanks.
