The hull of the ship was made using the familiar technology. As a basis I was using 8mm plywood glued from two pieces. -
Greetings , my dear Colleagues. I've decided to show my work on brig. I have been thinking on building this shipper quite some time. I've found it on the web site and wanted to have one. This is a sistership Le Cynge. I'm building it using the blueprints of the last one because they are practically twins. The scale is М 1: 55 , I've chosen this scale so the ship would fit in the apartment. Although I'm not completely sure that I would be able to build such a small one. I'm planning on using pear tree and painted hornbeam. I will use the excellent works of others Masters.

In conclusion, my dear friends, I would like to show you the showcase in which "SPERWER" will be stored. I ordered it from Sergei Fedorenko, who has made it in the best possible way, everything is according to the drawing and the quality is excellent. As agreed, he sent it to me in disassembled boards. I assembled it in place. The showcase was made from 3 parts. The base was made from DSP, the hull, the supporting fixture and the removable cover. The base is covered with green cloth. LED lighting on adhesive tape. Wiring is in one of the racks and under the batten of the cover. My best regards Alexander.

At this point my work on the “SPERWER” has come to an end. I really like this ship, and I have to say that I have really enjoyed working on it. I would like to express my gratitude to my friends and colleagues, who showed interest in my work, for your reviews and comments and advices, that helped me a lot in my work. My best regards, Alexander.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
