Ebony is also very rigid and it's very difficult to bend it, but the result is impressive (use steel wool to finish work).

In my opinion, it's always better redo any piece with something wrong or you don't like at all. I think, this choice will make you more confident and sure in future challenges. Well done!

On the other hand, could you give me an opinion about Proxxon 24264 Dividing Attachment for MF 70?
-
Yes, it's better to get Proxxon tungsten milling 27116. Thanks very much for your advices.

Hello. Do you know any adapter (eg. drill chuck) for micro miller MF 70 in order to admit miller cutter set (24610) with 6.0mm straight shank? This micro miller doesn't work with milling cutters upper to 3.2 mm. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your comments and likes. It's a pity I can't dedicate more hours to this passion but I'll try to progress little by little. -

Yes Carl, Johann's chaloupe is an excellent work. I'm just trying to emulate it. -

Inspired by Johann's longboat for La Créole (archjofo) I'm trying to build this one for Le François. These are the first steps. There's a long way to go.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
