So I asked Wayne if I could post some pics of his work for his painting technique now if I remember he works acrylics @50psi making dots all over the plane.I like the effect when complete it looks weathered in a way that is more natural the guy has won a few competitions. The kit is a Revell 1/32 Me-262 I am not going to kill you on pics but just showing a different way to paint it does take hours to accomplish

Just amazing were tech is going and being reflected in models.  The carbon fiber decals are mind blower.

Are those water slide decals or are they glued on?  Fascinating look, Craig.

    Thanks Bob!

The seat shells are carbon fiber as well, each bucket gets 5 individual pieces of decal to complete them.

In the end, not a whole lot of the carbon fiber will show up on the seats, but it's there anyway.

The development of the ACH-47 is pretty interesting. “Guns-A-Go-Go”.

OC, the bird is looking good and I'm so happy to hear the pupper is being well taken care of.  Those little guys seem to get knocked out a bit by almost any med.

Thanks for setting me straight on the -54 Egilman.  I wasn't aware of them being "different" than the military version

CW_Tom,   I wasn't aware of that record.  Somehow it doesn't surprise me that it could do that.

Evening all,    a bit more progress this evening  -  I have made and fitted the Two Flare defence systems  and the other Two outer  devices, a few more bits and bobs to fit before it can be primed.

Yeah, you don't have to wait for it to dry before you rough shape it is the first advantage then the hydrocal finish is a light skim coat over already formed hills...

There is a lot of things you can do modeling wise with insulation foam panels, a very versatile product....

I never got into DCC much, I always thought of it as an imagination limiter..... but a money maker for the manufacturers...... Making things easier is always of more value in this society....

Folks are always asking for an Addams Family type crash, with the DCC setups. All very sophisticated in the equipment, but operations is a snap. You can have a lot of fun with a small layout with the kids.

It's amazing how with this technology you're able to run multiple locomotives on the same loop at different speeds

I found that fantastic for wargame scenery as it's so easy to carve a plateau on a hillside for troop placement.

Yep that's the old old standby, before medical plaster cloth became widely available.... Works just as well... Today it is wide gauge gauze with hydrocal, leaving the medical supplies alone....

I've still got my HO, and all the supplies to build another layout, just have to find the time which is a very scarce commodity these days.... (have some classic steam engines and coach car sets (electric) from 40-50 years ago that haven't even been out of their box yet)

But you had the same experience apart from send them home, imho it's the being with them that's the fun bit, especially when we're all getting told off for making the front room messy then moving on to the conservatory to do the same😋😂

Amazing seeing this village come together Ekis. Every time I think you have reached the pinnacle you go and prove me wrong by exceeding the building that went before. I will never get tired of following this build.

Looks like you were able to find the pictures you were most looking for Greg. Evidence of the amount of rust streaks that can be seen running down the hull especially in the bow area. I find it interesting in a couple of pictures rust can be seen on the superstructure as well. Not as much by any means, but still there.

My favorite picture is the one where we are looking straight down and the water looks painted. It shows how wrong many of us have been when making the water surrounding a moving ship. There is very little "White water" away from the hull aside from the wake.

It also looks like you have a ton of stuff to put onto this little guy.

Yes, but the best in my opinion is the ping pong ball gun we still have around here somewhere. They really move out but still won't brake the windows.
No I can't. I have been taken in as a guest a number of times and on some nights "rowdy" was nowhere near descriptive enough.
My wife has raised three sons and two grandsons to date for a total of just over 50 years of uninterrupted boys. (She has always wanted a girl but with her luck she would have been a Tom Boy) Our only two girls are our grand daughters who live two rather large US states away. There is not much "Boy" stuff my wife has not experienced, and once in a great while, participated in.
If your O club was as small as ours was then your CO must have been one tough dude to take a potato point blank in the chest and still be able to chase you guys around the club. I bet I know who had to buy a few rounds that night!

So part 2 of the HMS Kent build. The modern one. It won’t be in its most current configuration as the Radar is not available. The Infini upgrade set is as usual absolutely excellent.

tje nice thing about a modern ship is there is a lot of photos open source on Facebook.
