Thank you mugje!
Speedy will be my next build yes.
I have both Speedy and Pegasus ready in the box here at home.
Think i will do the Speedy first. Looks like a good second bulid to improve my skills.
The Pegasus looks very difficult. The instructions and plans seems to me to be not detailed and good.

Look wonderful mugje 😊 . Great work and the model looks like a millon dollar. Are these the Amati display mounting colums? What dimensions are they? And what baseplate?

Used in the right manner CA is without doubt the best glue for outer planking i think.
Especially if you take your time with pre-bending and shaping the wood.
And no need for clamping or pins, which makes the best finish if you want to show the wood.
The most common error with CA-glue is using far too much of it and it can get messy.

Started rigging the fore yards. I did not look forward to this. I used 0,75mm rope for the vertical holders for footropes on the fore yard. Brushed all the ropes with thinned PVA to stiffen them up. This was the best i could do. Did not take long time to find out that i prefer standing rigging compared to running rigging 😊

Ordered my Speedy from @chris watton and Vanguard Models yesterday 😊
The kit itself with the finish and instructions seems to be a huge leap compared to my Caldercraft Pickle.

Hi you all.
Serving the rope for the stay's from the mouse around the mast to the loop looks good.
Do you need a machine for this or can it be done manually by hand?

Everything looks very good mugje....
Have did you serve the rope for the stay that goes from the mouse and round the masts to the loop?

Hey mugje!
Good point you are making there!
Rigging goes faster than woodwork with me from a experience point of view.
I have 25 years of experience from aquaculture which helps a lot working with rope and tying.
I think of starting the Pegasus all the time, but i have decided to stay true to finish Pickle first.
Although lately i have maybe opened a thought of building another small less complicated model before starting Pegasus.
HMS Speedy from Vanguard Models look fantastic i think....

Splendid work!
Bending with clamps and heatgun or iron....
Does that work with walnut and lime wood?

So my Pickle is finished. Been finished quite a while, but put it on the baseplate yesterday. It has been a great journey and i have learned a lot. Actually quite pleased with the result considering this is my first wood model. In advance, thanx 😊
