Good work Adrieke, curious how you will end up with the doors. Is that your brother-in-law- staring at the KoM ? Regards, John

No Sjors, it isn't the picture, it is the size of the wheelhouse indeed. Here a picture of the wheelhouse and 3rd deck placed on the ship. If you look well, you can see the wheelhouse has a raised floor. Nevertheless, as you said, have to place questionmarks about the proportions Artisania (or is it Art Insania?) used for each deck. When the stacks and masts are in place I think it will not be that obvious.

The wheelhouse in place, added the ship's bell and the start of the wheelhouse stairway. Next will be adding the borders and then place the whole on the ship in order to construct the stairways. Regards, John

You're right Adrieke, there are 5 pieces of 100 mm each, so exact the volume needed. Completely overlooked them, did not expect them there, buried under the United States flag. Next built I better follow your wise example and count/sort all the pieces before start crying .

By the way, did you know that all those steamboats/ships wouldn't be there without the invention of Stephensen which is applied for many many years. So is that not ship related. . . Regards, John

Hi Jim, had that discussion some time ago. See this link to the general discussions and the statement of M.Taylor in particular: http://modelshipworld.com/index.php?/topic/369-do-you-have-a-strong-desire-to-purchase-model-kits/page-7?hl=steam#entry28760 So apparently you will receive a no go. Regards, John

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
