    @Captain Jack Sparrow, you know that you can buy the San Ildefonso in boxes? I have done the same and maybe i will buy the Montañez the same way. You don’t have to pay the total amount at once. Just box by box when you finished one you can buy the next one. Sjors

    First of all....the best wishes for the new year and stay healthy! A small update. Did some rigging at the bowsprit and make the stays and crowfeet. Also make the shrouds at the fore mast. Next thing......ratlines....... Sjors

    Good news!!! It was the flew not covid-19 I goes better now and maybe i can go back to work bench next week. I will finish Anja her build first. That’s the Nuestra Senora del Pilar. I have to find out where her build log stays. You wil see me there when i have find it. stay save and healthy Sjors

    Thanks again everyone. Also for the likes. The building time has stopped for a while. This morning i wake up with fever and this afternoon i have a coronatest. In 48 hours i wil get the results so i hope that it is just the flew. We shall see. So please....watch for each other and try to stay healthy!!! Sjors

    Thank you very much for your kind words and the likes. Just what I was saying it was a pleasure to build. There are a few mistakes but that's up on me. Chris Watton has make a great kit! I can recommended it to give it a try. I didn't know that such small ship has that much of rigging. Almost more then my Aggy 🙂 Sjors

    Last update. She is finished! It was a fun build and I enjoy it every minute. Time to do some rigging at another model 🙂 The last picture is her final place where she is gonna stay. Sjors

    Yes i have 😀 If everything goes as it should be then tomorrow the flirt is (almost) finished. A few ropes and the anchors and that’s it. Then i go start rigging the Nuestra Senora del Pilar. That will take a while so when you have finished the small ones it still takes me some time to finsish the rigging 🤣 Sjors

    Hi George, Funny ,my name Sjors is George in English 😀 Then about the nails. Even when you paint the hull white you always see them I think you glued the planks against the frames? Then it is no problem to remove them Just a small screwdriver under the head and you can remove them with a plier. Good luck. Sjors

    Hello gsxdent59, Can you tell us your name? That should be easier to write down 🙃 Sorry for the late respons but a few things. First your planks. You have to short because you planked the whole lower deck. I did only the deck that you see when the upper deck is in place. Then you have enough wood. Then your red and yellow paint... If you like it keep it this way otherwise try the admiralitypaint. Red ochre and yellow ochre. And because the paint goes around the gun ports en bullwarks ,try to sand it smoother and you can use filler over there and sand it after you put filler on it. I know that it’s a big girl and i love building her every minute. You are on the right track and if you want to know something, let me know. There is also something that i will ask you. You know that it is single planking... And do you let the nails in it? Sjors

    On a sunny day another update. The bowsprit is done with the rigging. Also de Jib boom and Gaf. It's small but funny. I'm pleased how it all comes together. Now it is time for make the yards ready.... There all ready painted so time for the blocks. Till another update. Enjoy your day and keep healthy! Sjors

    Hello Spyglass, Thanks for the comment. About the rope for the shrouds and ratlines, i’ve got them from Morope Germany. The only thing is when i use that rope, every time when i have to cut i have to put a drop of glue on the thread. When i don’t do that it’s coming loose ( don’t how to say it but then you have multiple threads ) Sjors
