Sjors reacted to puckotred in Vasa by puckotred - DeAgostini - Scale 1:65
Ok, a small update again, done (almost) painting the dekorations for this time. Some touch ups to do but that's for later.
A little guy that will go next to the harpist from earlier:
The framing of the Cherubs:
The repainted lionheads and whatever the other two decorations are:
(Lot of touch-up to do here)
And this is how the Cherubs will be placed:
So far these parts have been painted:
So, now you'll have to wait another 3-4 weeks....

Well folks, "enough is enough" - I still have two boats to make (in very slow time) but they will be added to the display case as separate items and not onboard the model. So, although there are a few more items I would like to add, and a few fixes i would still like to make, I think I will call it quits and declare this one finished
The following photos show her in her final fit; but, I must apologise for the quality of the one in her case. I will take better shots of her in her home when I can control the reflections a little better
The photos will be in three posts.
cheers

Sjors reacted to Elijah in Phantom by Elijah - FINISHED - Model Shipways - 1:96 - New York Pilot Boat
I am not almost finished with the boat, but am almost finished with the bowsprit. Next up are two cleats on the onboard side and bowsprit rigging. I hope these images work. Progress has been slow with everything going on lately. I hope to get back to pace late this month. We will see. Anyway, let's hope these images fit!
Until next time! Hopefully sooner than this time was.

Sjors reacted to Ulises Victoria in Royal Louis 1780 by Ulises Victoria - FINISHED - Mamoli - Scale 1/90 - French 126-gun ship
Hello mates!!! Small update: Building the rudder.
Start of planking the wooden template
Believe it or not, there is a rudder underneath
Planking the rear most part. Since I couldn't get a piece of the same wood wide enough to cover the entire surface, I'm using two strips side by side.
Taking shape
And finished shaping, with a coat of Tung oil applied.
Next update will be the process of carving the hinges openings, placing the hinges in place and fixing the whole structure in place, a process I am not very fond of.

Sjors reacted to kay in De Eendracht by kay - 1:50 - a dutch flagship
The cannon is designed as a pattern and was turned free hand. The wood is only clamped in a drill. The wood at the stern is pear. I had forgotten to show that I had already cut the gunports. Work was also done at the stern. The "Hennegat" was again made and the gunports were moved still somewhat direction sternpost.
Some of the gunports on the cow bridge are still missing, as the position is not yet clear.

Sjors got a reaction from Piet in HMS Sovereign of the Seas by Sjors - DeAgostini - 1:84
And now time for an little update.
A lot of decorations are in place at both side of the ship.
I also make the "naked " woman at the front
And when I was placing the railing I broke one piece in a few parts so I order new ones.....
When that is coming I can go further.
In the mean while I wil try to make a standard......
It's gonna be scratch but the shape is gonna be the same as the one from the Aggy.
I like that one, it is solid.

It has to be done !
@ Sam,
The Gnomes are just back from vacation.....what do you expect then ?
@ EJ,
Anja wants to scratch that one in the future.
I hope that she wants to do it in a smaller scale otherwise I had to move !!!!!
@ Pat,
I was a long such on the internet and finally I found them.....
But the hardest job was to paint them.
I wantend to paint them as she where looking in real.
And I think that I did a good job with that

Sjors got a reaction from Rainbow in Corsair by Sjors - FINISHED - OcCre - wood (1:80)
Hello everyone.
I started this build in October 2011 and finished it on 21 March 2012
The word Corsair means ‘Pirate’.
Height 580 mm, Lenght 750mm, Width 270 mm.
This originally merchant brigantine was transformed when it got into the hands of the corsairs, and fitted out with 16 cannons and 4 falconets, which all helped them to carry out their misdeeds with better chances of success.
The corsair's "trade" was in many cases practiced with the permission of the state, giving them carte blanche for piracy.
All the comment is lost in cyberspace so you have to do it with the pictures.
The pictures are sorted by date and I shall post them this way.
