Al from UA Enjoy your saw!! Here is a link to pics. Note not every one of the pics is of a preac. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=preac+table+saw&qpvt=preac+table+saw&FORM=IGRE Happy Easter Later Tim -
Happy Easter to you and yours Ed from UA. It's always the simple things that get you. As far as chucking something up in the lathe and cutting it to size and shape I can't see it being a lot faster than what you did, but as I have not done it yet I'm not sure. The trunninon hole, did you code that in? Or drill some other way?? Good Luck with drilling the barrel holes and the repair. Later Tim

Happy Easter back to you and yours. Your build is looking great even if you are working with stuff you did years ago. I guess you were as good then as you are now. Later Tim

Al You listed the X-Y as 48x48 what is you vertical Z axis travel? Also is the 4th axis sitting at the edge of the X-Y table or ?? In your by hand 5th axis of course. I guess that I'm almost asking for a stepped back overall view of everything. Thanks Later Tim

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
