  1. Looks like a solid base for the second planking. Will be watching closely to see what I can learn.
  2. Andrew, so sorry to hear that. I hope you make a full recovery and take life a bit easier!
  3. I am 16 months in and planking the forecastle deck. I have a feeling that it will go faster after I plank the poop deck.
  4. Chris, Please reconsider. Look at 1/64 in a cabin the number of buttons and invisible seams matter not a jot. There is nothing else out there and you have been brave enough financially to meet the demand that has come from this forum.
  5. Following along if you don’t mind as I have this one in my stash. If only real life would not get in the way😂
  6. Wonderful work. Looking forward to watching your log of Speedy. Enjoy Shetland!
  7. It would. I used files on my first build to square off the top of the mast. You can also go the other way of using square stock and rounding off the trunk of the mast. Particularly useful for top masts given the change in shapes across the length.
  8. Very nice work. Mind you that water looks fresh, cannot have been at sea too long. I am sure your tars will prefer rum 🧉
  9. Yip, I will be watching out for this one being put on sale. Plus should be small enough to hide from the admiral 🤞
  10. Excellent build and a credit to your fleet. You powered through the rigging in short time. The name plate is a nice touch.
  11. Wow, if Flirt is up to the level of the Pinnace then just wow!
  12. Hello Andrew
  13. She is a lovely ship; excellent, clean build. The flag is very realistic, how did you do that? You have given me the inspiration to get back on with my current build - thank you. Looking forward to your next log.
  14. Don’t know if this helps, but in the AOTS for Diana this is labelled as the sheer line
  15. Sturdy little thing isn’t she. Enjoy your holiday and try not to think of your shipyard too much!
  16. I love these kits. It is amazing how far you can get in an afternoon. Looking forward to see this one planked.
  17. Always been fascinated by a cross section model. If you don’t mind I will pull up a chair.
