Thank you Scott, this glue is my favorite too.

Before the construction goes on a short look inside the Kits box.
The wood is of very good Quality troughout, the Accuracy of the Laser cut parts like Bulkheads, Keel, Stem and Stern parts is excellent. Walnut strips are included for the single Planking and Furniture. The figures and carvings are casted from resin and obviously also very well done.
The Assembling guide consists of 6 sheets of Drawings plus a photo-illustrated booklet.

    Thank you Piet and Robin.

In the museum shop of the Batavia warf I had the opportunity to inspect the kit of the Duyfken, it is also a very interesting ship.
I am already very excited about the Kolderstok kit of the Zeven Provincien which is supposed to be released at the end of the year.

The pictures show the model of the Zeven provincien at a scale of 1/10 in the warf Workshop, it's huge!

Continuing with the first layer of planking.   Going slow but steady.

I deviated a bit from the instructions on the planking placement and gunport openings.  I've decided to place the planks in continuous pieces over the gunports and then go back and cut out the openings later.  All the dummy gunports have been glued to the backside of the planks in their appropriate positions and marked on the exterior of the planking in order to cut them out.  I'll let you know how this works out.

The bow will need a little work to fill the gaps in the planking.

I do have one question.  The kit drawings show the gunports, more or less, perpendicular to the sheer of the ship. The gunports shown on the drawing from Herman Ketting's book shows them vertical.  Although I personally like the looks of the ports that follow the sheer should they be vertical?

    Update...

today framework removed from positioning jig, started fastening some of the stringers, quite fragile construction in the moment no fractures so far...
Am thinking of leaving a part of the port side hull open for a look beneath the deck...., beneath the wales

    Hi all,
Because of the fact that I lost my interest and the enthusiasm for some of my started models, these were canceled and the corresponding build logs deleted.
Other projects such as the build of the Bounty, Gunboat William and the HMS Endeavor take a break.

After a visit to the Batavia shipyard in Lelystad / Netherlands, I finally started to realize my long-standing desire to build a model.
The Kolderstok kit was ordered and the construction began, this was in July already. Unfotunately I didn't take pictures from the beginning, so the Photos below show the Status as of today.

    HI ALL
THE RESULTS OF TODAYS ENDEAVOURS ARE ENCLOSED.
I FOLLOWED EDT'S DRAWING BUT CHANGED THE THREAD SIZE TO 3MM.
THE NUTS ARE EPOXIED ONTO THE THREADED RODS.
FAIRLY SIMPLE TO MAKE...BUT THE DRILLING HAS TO BE SPOT ON!!!
THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN SIX SMALL CLAMPS AND TWO LARGER ONES...BUT I HAD A SENIOR MOMENT AND SANDED THE WRONG END!!!!
OH WELL CAN ALWAYS MAKE SOME MORE.
PHOTOS AS USUAL AND THE LAST ONE PROVES THAT THEY DO WORK........
I MAY HAVE A GO AT THE MORE COMPLICATED VERSION WHILST IM IN TOOL BUILDING MODE......LEFT HANDED TAPS AND DIES ARE FAIRLY EASY TO GET HOLD OF.....ABOUT  £22  FOR A DIE AND 2ND TAP........I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND DRILL SERVICE OF HORLEY........SHOULD PROVE A CHALLENGE CROSS DRILLING THOSE BRASS PIVOTS FOR THE THREADS!!!!

At last I got something done.

DeAgostinis approach when building the hull is to assemble the keel after you done the first hull planking.
    Why I just don't know.

Had a really hard time cutting the 4mm trench along the whole hull:

    This part was the easiest:

For some reason the bow part did not fit the false keel underneath. Unable to see exactly the point I had to fair away it took ages of hit and miss.
Doing this before the planking would have saved me a hour or so...

Again this was the easiest part. Good fit:

Gunports now following the curve of the (second) hull planking:

The line was determined by measuring from the gunports.
This is the curve the second planking will follow.

Started second planking of the stern:

I had ordered planking screws from Germany to aid me in this, but the Swedish post decided to misplace my shipment.
Seems as all they can do is do a search on the computer (as we do at home with a tracking number).
And when I asked when they would get someone to look for it they answered after a brief silence that they don't do that...(!?!)
    Thats service!
Anyway, a combination of CA and wood glue made the strips follow the curve of the stern:

    One side (almost) finished:

Gunports will have their finishing touch later on:

    And lower part done:

Now I will work upwards to the top of the stern, and I have 50 gunports to open up
