  1. everything on the board to the left of the city wall will be raised by about an inch to allow some depth of the river, the wall along to back and right side will be wide enough for troops and cruise ship passengers of the future, some electrics depending on time, i will be able to extend the river to allow a port and fields, however i am also aware just how much work one building will take, never mind the 1000's of bricks just for the city wall, here in the UK, it is cheaper, just to buy the kits for the bricks rather than sourcing them from Spain
  2. yes def some monks and some girls of bad reputation lol,
  3. good evening everyone well it had to happen, not happy with just the kit, i had to expand my project a little i have been following a few logs on here @Ekis @modeller_masa and @Waitoa and they have inspired me to do something different for a change, i have always been happy with building ships and thoroughly enjoy it, but in the last few months i have realised that there are other things i would love to try, this was brought to a head a few weeks ago when the wife suggested trying something different and the Stari Most Bridge was started so here i am with a 48x 30 inch base board and a town to build, i have no time frame to work to, but would like to get the Dorade build completed within the next six months, inspired by Game of Thrones i did try basing the idea on the city Of Dubronik, but the harbour was taking to much room, so i have scaled it at present to the fortification of a river valley with high walls on two sides still very much in the planning stage, and would love any ideas and take any criticism
  4. i had nightmares last night, had your soldiers, chasing me whilst eating cheese and onion crisps, it was either them or me that was naked, then it kind of got all weird, been a strange kind of day ever since
  5. good afternoon everyone day 10 the roof tiles are very oversized will address that on the next project
  6. just found this, looks quite well detailed. but omits the guards you are referring to
  7. another build i am going to miss, thank you for building what i believe to be the best boat build i have ever seen, ive been there. lived it, worked it and now miss it
  8. Good evening everyone day 9 who would have thought a few brick some cardboard, glue and some imagination could be such fun yes i have made a few mistakes, i need to get in a better routine for windows and corners i hope to finish this building tomorrow, and then back onto the 1/2 round house
  9. good evening everyone day 8 the work continues, at a quess i would think at about 150 to 200 bricks a day
  10. very nice indeed, well stuck on otherwise they would fall off being upside down,
  11. i am still finding a way the suits my style of building, unfortunately i am perhaps trying to hard, and sanding every other level flat. so i am getting a dressed brick effect also i dont quite understand the scales used on the kits, my bridge is 1/350 the castles i have for Christmas are 1/135 i think but still use the same size bricks 5x5mm maybe my style of building suits the smaller scale
  12. the card alone is good quality, and makes a decent solid model, the bricks make it earth quake proof
  13. good evening eveyone Day 4 and 5 Bridge the reason starting this, was so that the admiral could have something on the shelf, started and completed, by me, very quickly we both realised this was not going to be a weekend job, so i put it to one side and built up a cheap lego kit, and thoroughly enjoyed it, with a couple 1000 pieces, took sat evening and Sunday to build up (about 8 hours), yep looks like a toy anyway having gained a bit of confidence over the last couple days, i started the bridge, and tonight have most of it done, i might be cleaning the pieces up to much, as they are quite smooth
  14. Great fun, but oh so messy, the dust travels much further than the sawdust
  15. DRY, dank and dreary here in Somerset UK 10 degs
  16. Thank you for your kind comments i have now put a link in, the reason for having not done so was because of the nature of MSW, and i never thought anyone would be interested, appears I am wrong again, LOL
  17. nice build, have you made any more progress?
  18. yes bob they are, and i have done very little if anything to them, the build is currently stored away for completion, along with with other projects,
