Kevin got a reaction from popeye the sailor in Stage Coach 1848 - Artesania Latina - 1/10 - by Kevin - July 2021 - finished March 2022
good afternoon everyone
the outside skin never went quite to plan, all my efforts to put it on straight resulted in well, it not going on straight, i ended up with a rather odd looking twisted box. one end was ok. so i but line across and removed the other end, re applied and it is ok now,
i never noticed it the time as there is a large off cut to allow for being off centre
the walnut veneer is slowly going in, but its a pain, so fragile
the photo's do me no favours at all
the ok end
and the not so ok

the kit calls out for the yellow on the sides only not the top or bottom, i tried to match the yellow as best i could on the box art and phots, but they all vary,

Thanks for the link Kevin, but no-one will ship it internationally - it’s ground transport only. To import it, I’d have to buy a container load! 🥴

Kevin reacted to Glenn-UK in Chris Watton and Vanguard Models news and updates
@chris watton much deserved success with the Sphinx venture. The standard of your previous kits proved without doubt your designs are cut above the others. The work undertaken by @James H in support aldo shows what is possible to build by mere mortals like me.

Kevin reacted to Jasseji in Chris Watton and Vanguard Models news and updates
By Looking at the Manual, this Kit should be rated at Advanced Beginner and not Intermiediate (might drive the Sales up even more :P)
The amount of shortcuts implemented to ease the build seems enormous
