Hi Sjors, Thank you so much, sorry for the delayed response. I just finished the floor, it was too hot to hurry and also too hot for modeling. Waiting no for some lower temp (not too low off course ).

Hello Adrieke, At the moment both projects (Creole and Turtle) are on hold, too busy on the job and so. In July I have two weeks vacation....first some maintenance of the house and if there is some time left I will restart modelling ships.

Hi Jan, Nice progress you've made. If the handrail is too small in scale, it's maybe better to consider not to make one.

Hi Adrieke, Haven't been here for about 8 pages , too busy on the job and so . You've made nice progress in the meanwhile and I'm sure you will fix the lights.

Suzanne, thanks for sharing these photo's. I think it's a good decision to keep the King of the Mississippi as it is now.

Nice progress on the stacks John. Does the brass rings fit to the stacks? I had the problem they didn't fit.

Again nice progress Adrieke. At her maiden trip for me a "Leffe donker" please . By the way: on the real riverboats the 3rd deck was indeed luxurious and on several photos I have seen it was not common to have an innerstair on 2nd/3rd deck.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
