  1. Amazing job on the copper plating Are you to do weathering (aging) to the copper?
  2. Sjors, thank you for pointing it out, I liked the green color because it didn't stand out to much. It reads "Denial is futile, MSW 2.0 is here to stay." I will change the color.
  3. Sjors, I have been back since the change to V2.0, don't know what happened to my avatar. Had a combination flag of the American/Swedish as avatar. Thank you for pointing it out. Have a secret build going on as well.
  4. Some pictures I shot a while back when the old system was running.
  5. Floyd, I wish there was someway for us to help you with the pets, but our clan just expanded with another dog. Don't know if my son mentioned about him. One of the pet rescues called up (they know how successful we are with our homemade food, and long lifespan on the dogs), they needed a foster family for an overweight Beagle. I said no, Admiral yes, I lost even with the argument we have four dogs, two goats she can't be with (allergies)(her idea as well) and a kitty. When he arrived he weighed 85lb, within a week down to 77. Don't know his current weight. But he is great fun and a great snuggler. Hmm, I think I never seen a mobil workshop. There is a company making aluminium trailers (have one of their smaller one) so checked their website, they have a perfect fitting trailer to put a workshop on. All you need afterwards is a space for the trailer.
  6. My father once said, "you get what you are paying". Most of the time is so true.
  7. Oh my, Is this a setup? This is way to clean for a workshop setup, along with the kitty that sleeps so confidentially knowing she won't be disturbed. Love it though, wish I had something similar, with all Byrnes machines.
  8. Just to be careful and be light handed as usual when suing power tools and results can be amazing. Thanks for the tip!
  9. Dan, I really love the progress you have accomplished so far. I did a quick search for Swan 42 for sale, got three of them located in different areas around the world, A 1985 located in Newport, Rhode Island goes for USD 200.000.00 while another 2008 model located in France runs USD 364.000.00 I like the model better. Someday I will build a modern yacht model of some kind.
  10. Jerry, I was kind of confused, but somehow I had two of the same replies to you and upon deleting one the other disappeared as well. I am sorry for that. Still looking forward to hear about the final weight once completed.
  11. Janv, there is a company in Sweden that has extreme high quality blocks. WWW.eskader.se then change language to English. Good luck
  12. Fernando, Welcome to MSW where no question escapes, there will be an answer sooner or later, as for your question of bezier curves, there is a plugin available from Trimble SketchUp. Here is the link for such: http://www.sketchup.com/download/rubyscripts.html
  13. Dan, from pacific north west a warm welcome to MSW. For me it is a pleasure seeing a different build such as Swan 42, somehow I think many of us are a little reluctant of starting such a project. But this one looks very nice, I am following this one for sure.
  14. Use this website for downloading this amazing program http://www.sketchup.com/ I have many years of usage of the program, but I have paid for mine in order to resolve the issue of resolution and printing. I got this program in 2000 when it was first released by @Last Software this for house design and drafting, very simple and with short learning curve. But back to this amazing ship, very nice the way you are "building" the ship!
  15. I wonder if we will have three or more hands in the future, think how much we could build in the same time
  16. Floyd, I need to figure out size of bed and truck.
  17. Floyd, When will it be available?
  18. Thank you Wayne, I found it under the "More Reply Options" I went to my local "glass shop" had two sheets of 1/8" plexi-glass cut to order in this case 30"x48" Perfect for the main portion of the building table. This way, I can have one plan underneath a protective glass. It's easy to change the plans as they just slide in-between the two sheets. Some one in the old type of forum was using this way.
  19. The design of my "external" workshop is developing, during the same time I am still working on my ships. In the office/workshop I have got two sheets of plexiglass each 1/8" thick, this to put schematics/plans in between. Somehow the feature of inserting an imagine is gone for me. The only way is to providing an "URL"? Wish to show some pictures from my camera which has been saved on the Pc.
  20. My Atari 512 STFm gave up on me, that with the bandstation and non number modem, otherwise I would be in the game! In another sentence, I have it going and with automatic updates. Thank you all for the support and down grading of PC units. Now it really works. Double
  21. Ah, darn..... seems like we are in the same boat , my workshop cant exceed the 200sq.ft. Size will be 12x16, floor footage, which gives me 196 sq.ft
  22. Craig, size doesn't matter, it's the building technique. I am fortunate having big area to build on.
  23. Harvey, I was thinking 8088 processor Dos3
