Kitbuilder Jan Posted February 20, 2020 Share #1 Posted February 20, 2020 (edited) Hello all, Having read a lot of interesting forum posts here and looked at some amazing pictures, it made me inspired to do some ship modelling again. Back around 1973-76 I built two Billing Boat models that turned out so-so. I did not have the woodworking skills that I have nowadays. So yesterday the Speedy kit arrived from Vanguard models in the UK and I found it appropriate to join MSW. I am a retired engineer and in my spare time a spend some time in my garage workshop where I have done som 1:1 (full scale) carpentry. I am living out in the countryside so the care taking of the house and the surrounding areas takes it's time. I have found some build logs for HMS Speedy and I will of course read these before the start of the kit build. I haven't decided yet if I will start a build log, but there will at least be some pictures of the finished model, whenever the finish line is reached.
