Crow Posted March 25, 2020 #1 Posted March 25, 2020 hello from Stony Brook Long Island NY. I'm an a woodworker that would like to make something simple and relaxing. Plenty of time on my hands with the Covid-19 lock down. I'd like to try a half hull of something like a cat boat from scratch. I'm looking for books and advice on the subject. There are a few half-hull models in the forums, you might want to check out the excellent Half-Hull Planking project, a planking tutorial put together by tlevine. Whatever you decide to model, this is a good place to hang out. Jim Cricket Posted March 25, 2020 #3 Posted March 25, 2020 Hi Crow, new here myself. I've built a couple of planked half models, both lapstrake, planked on molds with stringers backing the laps. My intro shows pics of a couple. It may not be what you're looking for, but I plan to retro-post those projects in the coming days, as I work myself on some new model projects.
