New builder. Buffalo NY

Recommended Posts

hi everyone.  wanted to introduce myself.  I have experience in woodworking (humidors, checker boards, Etc).  For my first build I am looking at Artesania Latina 19015 1/50 HMS ENDEAVOUR'S Longboat.  My question is, what tools do I require?  is there a pre-boxed starter tool kit that I can purchase? with planking screws, plank bender, files, Etc?

thanks in advance for any info you can provide!

James,

Welcome to MSW.   As far as tools go, have a look here:  http://modelshipworldforum.com/ship-model-materials-and-tools.php  The first 3 posts should help get you started.

Also, go to the kit area and this topic is pinned to the top.  Download the kits list and have a look at what others have done.

When you're ready, open a build log and above all else... have some fun.

Welcome from a fellow New Yorker!  I think the tool kits are over priced for what you get, so be careful!

Not that I'm aware of but then I did my kit close to 15-16 years ago.
