Hmm. 🤨

You're probably right, the word fun might not be the most appropriate, but it's certainly included in the process!  😀

I can think of many things that are more "fun" than doing rigging in 1/250 scale -- like licking a cactus, prepping for a colonoscopy, or being forced to sit through a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie marathon. 😜

I am thinking for my next project to start the 1/700 SMS Emden but the instructions don't include rigging!. I am wonder why. 😀

I initially tried to solder the masts but due to my soldering iron malfunctioning I ended up soldering them with CA after  cutting a notch in the mainmast to fit the horizontals better.

The HMV Emden in 1/250 scale is a nice kit too.

I have it in my stash.

I have it too and it is indeed a very good kit. One of the next kits I will build for sure.

The first steps have been taken. Studying the relatively simple drawings in the instructions, it seems that it will probably be relatively easy!

Beautiful model. It is hard to believe that it is made of paper/card.

Great assembly.

Finished!  I was very pleased with this model and  i want to thank you all for the company on this journey.

Now I have to think about what will be next.

Maybe someone in the 1/700 scale!

Absolutely fabulous! What a credit to the card modeler's art!

PS: Do you follow the HMV page at Facebook? If not, I'd like to share a link to your build log there -- Benjamin (the owner) would certainly appreciate it.

It is amazing to see what you card folks can do.  My mind is blown!  And such an interesting/different subject too.

These "modern" ships are not in my area of interest, but I'm happy to rate something that is really good. Beautiful model.

The focus stacking really shows off the rigging nicely.  Well done!
