One of my favourite Cold War Jets.  The kit itself was a challenge in places, but tempted one day to do a camouflage of green/silver version.

Very nice, like shipman, I love the Lightning, an elegant brute, specially in natural metal, which you reproduced very realistic.

Cheers Rob

Question, did you enhance the panel lines in any way?  The model looks great!!

Thank you, yes I did experiment with running a fine drafting pencil in the panels lines as I hoped the graphite would still look “metallic”, didn’t think dark washes would be quite right. The metallic finish was “okay” but not entirely happy with it.

My many years admiring aircraft have taught me they have no discernible panel lines (as depicted on nearly all kits), only subtle contrast from one panel to another.

Yes I think scaled up most kit panel lines you could comfortable lose your keys in!

I think an acknowledgment that there is some "artistry" in the inclusion and treatment of panel lines in kits that is down to personal taste and not necessarily realism.  But whatever you enjoy doing is the thing.  😁
