  1. Sad to read of your old pup. My condolences. They new pup is a cutie. 👍 Biplanes.
  2. Our seatbelts usually laid on the side panels; too bulky to fall between the seat and the side panels. I think it was the same in the big airplane; the lap belts were draped over the arm rests.
  3. Those 3D decals for the cockpit are a vast improvement over the kit supplied ones. 😁 Too bad the seat-belts are so hard to decipher the construction sheet. 😕
  4. Nice work there. The cleanup of that plastic tween the ribs really makes it look so much better.
  5. Pretty neat, excavating the bones out of the plaster. Just like the paleontologists. 👍
  6. OC, the Spang birds were just across the "gulch" from Bitburg. That was one of our nicknames for the Kyll River valley. That's were the famous Kyll River Fog Monster dwelt. I think we spent a third of the winter grounded because the visibility was less than 1 mile, our minimum world wide for flying weather. I can't wait to see the 1/32 E model. The old Revell one was a little rough. The Hasegawa in 1/48 was much better.
  7. I'm in, Craig. And yes, EG, it is. I suspect that with the excellent products Z-M has released of late, they will get all the nuances right. I see they show the speed brakes interior paint. I hope they droop the aux air doors on the belly, over the centerline rack system, assuming it's on the ground. These doors pop open inflight to "burp" the air intakes at high speeds. On starts, when cycling the generators on, they could slam shut, so we always checked with the crew chief before doing that.
  8. This supports both wings? You didn't have to rig the second level from home.
  9. Excellent job of weathering, Grant. Your diorama will look great. I like your chalking work. 👍
  10. Detailing is coming along nicely, Rob. 👍
  11. I had a similar reaction to a pneumonia shot last year. I think part of my issue was letting one of the nurses in my doctor's office. She was a little rusty giving shots. My pharmacist is so much better, but she administers a lot more injections. Hope she recovers quickly. 🤞
  12. Rob, nice work with your Corsair.👍 I'm a big fan of bent-wing birds. EG is an excellent source and has a little experience building models. 😉
  13. The intrepid KGL rifleman versus T Rex. Talk about a B movie plot. 😁
  14. Left one looks like a green the Russian used on their radomes/antennas on certain MiGs.
  15. Nicely done, beating up those panels.
  16. The PE makes nice enhancements. Looks good. With respect to pre-painting, the Eduard PE cockpit sets use a lot of painted parts. And now they are 3D, too. Less issues for the modeler, especially waiting for some of the more esoteric paint colors, such as the Soviet era turquoise color. Keep up the good work.
  17. An Optivisor is my magnifier of choice. Looks like you have great lighting for your workspace. 👍 One question: do you cut your PE on that nice mat or do you have a harder cutting board. The brass deforms under the cutting tool and at the scales we play in, extra bends are annoying. I have a piece of marble, but I've also used tiles.
  18. Good choice. One can only stare are these fine parts so long. I built some N scale structures for a diorama and doing laser cut double hung windows was mind-numbing for the several houses I built. After 20 minutes or so, I had to get up, walk around and then pull out an HO kit to work on. Good lighting and optical magnification help, too.
  19. Nicely done, OC. Fierce looking beastie.
  20. Would an epoxy cement work? J-B Weld or similar?
  21. So far, so good on your painting. Unfortunate to clog your a/b.
  22. I just saw that technique for making eyebolts at a recent RR prototype modelers meet. The commercial one are either the wrong size you need, plastic when you need metal or simply not available. Fellow used a thin needle nose pliers with similar sized wire. The plastic sleeve acting as a crimping band is a good trick. 👍
  23. A bit of good news for your Admiral. Hope the tests can point you to the problem.
