  1. We did that to the Cape May, NJ to Lewes, Del ferry with our F-4s. The ferries were visual reconnaissance targets and not to be overflown. Well, most of the time. That's why lieutenants fly with adult supervision.
  2. Fascinating animals out there. Got a high speed tour one weekend, way back when. The giant tortoises were very cool, as were the marine iguanas.
  3. What's the mascot on the helmet? Looks like a she-lion or leopard. Or a hound. I read some book once upon a time that said the Plantagenets had leopards on their crests.
  4. I'm following, Alan. Interesting character, for sure.
  5. And here I thought A. you had used a pink primer or B. It was pink for breast cancer awareness during October. Your build looks good.
  6. Yves, you described what the F-4 is. A refrigerator strapped between two J-79s, going Mach 2. 😄
  7. Here is the set for your Hustler: https://scaleaircraftconversions.com/moreinfo.cfm?FROM=search&KIT=105 You might check on the bigger on-line shops. They may have a better price.
  8. Love the way the colors work. Red is always tough, but your pink base coat works well. And the seat harness looks great. 👍
  9. I'm in, too. I got to see a real one, back in the summer of 1969, at an air show. The beast sat very high off the deck, to keep the 4 J79s well clear of the ground. LG looked spindly, compared to the KC-135 it was sitting next to it. Noisy takeoff the next day.
  10. You might want to get an inexpensive travel iron for your sealing technique. WW III might break out if the Admiral finds you using her gear for this.
  11. An interesting figure, for sure. Caesar's friend.
  12. A toadus alonis? They're insect hunting for the winter. You have an urban camo one. Down here they tend to greens and browns. 😁
  13. Yes, roughing up the surfaces of smooth parts, such as plastic, metal and resin, helps the CA grip better. Removing paints and oils help, too.
  14. And I think they are carbide, so they're brittle. Using them in a drill press should keep them workable for your holes. Hand drilling with a pin vise will learn you some new cuss words. Been in that game, glad to be out .
