    OC, not my work. I just took a grab from another site to show the bow crest. Mike's answer in #69 says DDs never had the crest, only cruisers and up.

    Yeah, probably not, Mike. I keep forgetting this is in 1/700. I looked for bow shots of DDs, but most were too far away, with fuzzy details. A dot of gold paint would probably suffice.

    Fit doesn't look too bad, Denis. Kits of that vintage require a lot of cleanup and engineering to build up so nicely. You have a great start with this old girl.👍

    Folks in some parts of South Carolina put mustard on their barbecue. In eastern North Carolina, we have fans of a vinegar/tomato sauce. Tangier than the sauce we use out here in western NC. Cole slaw and french fries/pomme frites for me, sir.

    I'll be waiting to hear your reasoning, EG. Our eyes sense colors a little differently. It's your model concept of those colors, so run with it.

    Sounds like the criteria we used out on our flight line, back in the day. Snow was a nuisance, not a reason to cancel ops. Guess nowadays, we can't hazard the little blighters. Do they have seatbelts in the bench seats for them yet?
