Hi Mike and Daniel, I absolutely agree with Daniel. Many of my friends offer me empty bottles before throwing out them. I received some bottles from Japan. If I buy alcohol, I too pay attention to a bottle. The chemical bottle sometimes too has a good form and quality. Quite recently I opened for myself perfume's bottles . Recently I bought olive oil in very good bottle. Best Regards! Igor.

Hi all, Many thanks for likes and words of approval! Now I continue to build my model of Atlantic, but who can know that will be further... Maybe one more interesting small bottle will fall into hands to me ))) I don't know perhaps to make it even less or not. I think that the main problem not how to make the small boat. It is possible to make the boat for example 10 or 5 mm long, but it will demand absolutely small bottle and absolutely small diameter of a throat of a bottle. And in it I see the main problem. Best Regards! Igor.

Hi Mike, I look at the advance of your work with pleasure! What species of a tree you use for the planks of the deck? Best Regards! Igor.
-
Mike, you can also try to use one of other sets for construction of the ship in a bottle as a basis, for example, St Maria or Catalan Ship. But I think that now you won't want to use a details from the set since you are ready to make they better.

A lot of thanks, Mike, for good words! I think that you can just try something to do and almost always you will get that that you wanted. I hope to see your other models in a bottle soon. Best Regards! Igor.

Hi Mike, Many thanks! Yes, I thought of the sea in this bottle. But its total volume only 5 ml, i.e. I had opportunity to add only some drops of "sea" from the art acrylic 3D gel painted in blue-green color, but I decided to postpone this question until other time )). Best Regards! Igor.

Hi Matija, A lot of thanks for such appreciation of my modest work! Believe, it I feel like the beginning beginner when I watch and learn at the scratch build logs of your fine models. Best Regards! Igor.

Hi Bob and Patrick, Many thanks for compliments! It isn't absolutely finished yet. I want to try to make the stopper with the rod in a bottle. I already prepared details, but I am not sure yet that I will manage to place it in a bottle. Best Regards! Igor.

Hi Bob, Yes, I think you have reached excellent result. I tried different methods of imitation of seams between the planks of deck, such as use of threads or paper, coloring of butts of planks, filling of seams with any hard putty.I think, each method has the advantages and shortcomings depending on scale and a species of a tree of which the planks are made. Often I used a metal plate with a sharp edge instead of an emery paper for cleaning of a surface of the deck. It allowed me to receive purer surface and accurate lines of seams. Best Regards! Igor.

I still can return everything back in this moment Now I can't return it back Now it is necessary to make a stopper

Hi Carl and Mark, I am flattered with your assessment of this model, but it is rather just toy, than model. I only want to check my some thoughts and to try to execute them. I think excessive miniaturization has side effects and I was compelled considerably to simplify some details. But I tried to make the boat 3 mm long and now I understand that it is possible and that it else is necessary to change to receive the best result. Best Regards! Igor.

Hi Patrick, I myself hardly trust that that I see)) I try not to breathe even on it )) Best Regards! Igor.
-
Hi Patrick, TThanks for good words! I am not sure that I will use paint because in such scale is necessary very good paint which lays down very thin layer. Best Regards! Igor.

Hi Patrick, Project? It sounds too loudly )). Yes, on a background is the bottle for model, more exact, it is a bottle of perfume of my wife. Best Regards! Igor.

Building of Atlantic keeps its course. I decided a little to distract and try to make something of small and simple. This yacht has no name and I drew the easy drawing. Here that I managed to make today: Beat Regards! Igor.

Many thanks, Mike! I have found some drawings and a photos in your build log. Besides, I found in the kitchen of my flat the interesting bottle, but it is still filled with olive oil. I tried to adapt the drawing to the bottle size and it appear that the size of model will about 60 mm. But now I only am going to build this model in future and I don't know yet when I will start doing it. Best Regards! Igor. P.S. Perhaps it will be interesting to you to look at some more photos of this boat: https://www.flickr.com/photos/redningsselskapet/sets/72157630328871386 https://www.flickr.com/photos/redningsselskapet/sets/72157630328871412 https://www.flickr.com/photos/redningsselskapet/sets/72157630296322560
