Part of my addiction involves countless hours monitoring various vendor websites. 😁

Got it. I checked pastors again, but there is no indication of a fixation at the lower end of the pole. (Also not in the other pictures)
My guess is as good as yours....

The AL-picture shows something that I think is in line with Pastors book: a fixed pole, secured to the lower mast. I think you get a very realistic looking model when you take Javier Pastors books (page 86 shows the shrouds) Given the small amount of sail that should do. Also, as there is almost no sail to that mast, there is/was no need to have shroulds on that top-mast. (according to Pastros reconstruction, but also according to others).

Quick update -- wings and stabilizers attached to fuselage. I'm still impressed by the aircraft's sheer size. The model is a bit over 11 in. in length and has an almost 16 in. wingspan. I couldn't clear away enough clutter off my workbench to make room for this shot, so I had to move the 'Cat to a different table.

Hi,
After having applied (almost) all the decals onto the fuselage, I sprayed the last coat of gloss to seal them. Then, the diluted oil color was liberally brushed on the panel lines of the upper side. This operation is always a bit frightening to me:
After 20 minutes, I removed the wash with a cloth damped with white spirit:
Next, the underside fuselage will be similarly treated. Meanwhile, I restarted working on the exhaust jet pipes because they will be glued on soon. With a fine brush, I picked few details with aluminium metallic paint and Tamiya panel liner, then I sprayed a mist of flat brown to mute down the contrast of the metallic parts:
Best regards,
Dan

Well, not that this will help Edite any, as he was only online here for about 2 weeks. But, I managed to find my instruction booklet, and it does in fact have a basic description of belaying points. Takes a little understanding of basic nautical terms as there are no diagrams, just text.
So, for what it's worth, there ya go...

Brief update: I started work on the propeller hub. The diagrams appear to include different options for this, so I have to kind of guess at which parts to use.
On the far right we have an engine cover, which is the only three-dimensional part of the engine that will be included in this build. It is a large petal structure. Normally I dread petal structures, because they are difficult to get right, but my new dapping tool set was immensely helpful for this chore. I'm pleased with the result.
In the middle is the "hub," which is a long strip rolled into a tight cylinder around a plastic rod. On the left is the template for sanding the hub down to the proper shape. I chucked the rod into my Dremel tool and hit the 'on' switch -- and the rod promptly snapped off at the base of the hub. That happened last night and resulted in the immediate closing up of the shop for the night. Today I drilled out the broken rod and replaced it with a steel rod. I have shaped the hub (liberally stiffened with thin CA) and am now in the process of painting it. I will post another update when I get the blades added.
Cheers!
