So far? Mayo brown, then buff overspray, clear coat, layers of enamel washes. I’m not happy yet but when I get the top side stuff glued on including the railings and the tank I can go to work on it properly. There’s going to be a tank and a motorcycle on it 

I’m waiting for a cleats that go on the tracks, and considering it’s under the vehicle there’s. I point gluing anything down yet. So. The Tank that goes on top, interior detail set,resin luggage set and front wheels. 

Now the back deck, multiple enamel washes. I’ll work this a lot more before I’m finished with pigments

Tracks on! 

Lower part of the vehicle worked on today so I can mask it off and do the upper works. There are not enough track links for the entire length but I still drilled out and pinned the bent pieces of tracks. 

Now if I could just find this book….

All the resin is now cleaned up. I’ve ordered some cleats from Blast models in France for the tracks, I’ll have to paint up the lower hull first before the topside. Everything dry fits really nicely, which is mandatory as the instructions are quite basic. You can see the engine hood which is thrown on top of the fuel tank in nearly every photo and the engine is open to the air. 

A morning working with resin 

The chipping is there but I covered it in dust. These things would have been filthy. 

Of note, the FT17 at our memorial didn’t have enough track tracks so they cast their own. It still has a bullet lodged in the radiator. My plan is to have it all ya hated open. The Meng kit first released was a full interior kit, which cost twice as much as the later release with no engine (I got it cheap still from China. I also have a French motorcycle from CSM and lots of figures

Next build, this will be a diorama, with a lovely resin kit from U-Models with a Meng FT 17 with full interior. 

I think this’ll do but I am open to suggestions 

 Chipping and washes, there are 2 planks on the sides which I replaced with real wood. Next will be mud, when dry I’ll add dust. That should do maybe. I was then thinking if I could have it towing an artillery piece ?

Ok I’m rubbish at tracks, I used the Blast models upgrade which are very fragile and snap very easily. Will cover sins in mud. 

I didn’t even bother to do the machine gun and cannon bases, just glued them on. 
 

added the signal panel harness which I learnt from a German bloke on Utube and confirmed my reference photos. 
 

serendipity? I have after market tracks I bought for another kit which is wrong! 

I just read that, I’ll just glue them straight onto the side panel as you can’t see inside anyways. I’ve got some tracks from Blast models which I’ll try as well 

I see Doc has also just started this kit. I was always planning on doing it after the little tanks so here we go! Blast models to really nice upgrades which I may use the tracks and stowage. I am about to do a series of French ww1 armour as I got this kit and a French Tank Carrier on FB Marketplace for steal. I them have some amazing German and English stuff to go.
