Last bits arrived for the Bentley today. In the meantime…..

Aaaaand another distraction whilst awaiting the mail 

I’m currently waiting for stuff in the mail for this build, so I decided to reduce the stash with a weekend build 

More seams Than a coal mine! Back to basic modelling skills agin, gaps, seams, flash, super poor details. This is going to be a rabbit hole as there are so many good builds of this out there I just can’t do it OOB  

I bought this at a buy swap sell for AUD $100 a few years ago. I’ve been waiting on someone to make some 3D parts that don’t cost more than the kit. A local bloke at Leadfoot models does some lovely car stuff and recently did the wheels, brake drums and the footstep. There is a European mob that does a 3D fuel tank but out exchange rate makes it far more than I paid for the kit. It’s a beautiful car, I won’t show off the engine, others have done that to perfection and I’ll never get that good, so I’ll enjoy it for what I can.

Yep, all the research I’ve done (I bought the book) shows this is the most basic of all the carriages. The recoil would be amazing.

Great story and what a find! Bet they were scrapped for metal 

Weathering the railroad track with pigments, then some splatters of oil. I’m happy with how this looks so far. Tomorrow I’ll add it to the base then put ballast around it 

Railway track base coat down, weathering then add it to the base. Once I’m happy with that back to fixing some errors on the build 

I’ve just ordered some new heads and a figure as RGL’s infantry officer son says there should be spittle

All together, the railing are a complete one piece print which are a paint and would have been better off as individual stanchions 

Easy enough to throw togeather. Bit of sanding at the join of the deck and re riveting which I still need to work on as I’m not quite happy but I’ve obtained some resin paste which is UV light sealed 

I got this off a Facebook Buy/Swap/Sell for about half of retail. It a very big 3d print. Missing was a traversing arm and bracket and some deck fittings which the owner of the rights to the kit was good enough to send the Stl’s which I got printed locally. It fits perfectly on an old base for a tribal class destroyer and I got a set of railway tracks to sit it on. 

And I’m done, thinking of calling it “the Bollocking” 

So the diorama idea so far 

I think this piece is done. New hands arrived today. 

I’m really not happy with the hands on two of the figures and will probably amputate them and replace with something a little more looking like hands and not plastic blobs. I’ll have black oil pouring into the engine
