I started assembling the 4 16" guns. I will try it in 3 stages plastics/PE/resin. Plastics went together nicely.
but the resin is going to be a different story. They look really good, but I am hugely disappointed in the fact that the resin blast bags are solid! I have to drill them out myself and its a tapering hole. Its going to be a massive pain. Im still working on the first 1 for 2 hours and still not done. I'm thinking of just not using blast bags.
Dammit..Why did MK1 have to do that?!?

Ya it sucked Lou. We were doing snow removal and i was in a little skidsteer. The bucket hit a manhole in the street. Its like hitting a solid concrete wall. It stopped but i kept going till my face smashed the windshield cracking it. And My glasses completely shattered.

but it wont lay flat with the crows nest and everything else sticking out. but I tend to do most things the hard way. even my day off today was done the hard way... smashed my face into a windshield at work and got sent to the hospital... calling in sick would have been the easy way

You know your ship battles Lou! I learned Alot. Whats the difference between and battleship and a battle cruiser?

I watched a documentary on the Bismarck on youtube yesterday. Very interesting... yes the hood was firing on the wrong ship. They say it Only took the bismarck 8 minutes to sink the hood.
But I still love the look of her fully striped. But I messed it up to bad. I originally thought I would embarrass myself putting a build log on this website being a rookie and all. But everybody has been so nice and supportive.

Oh believe me there are MUCH bigger mistakes than that. Massive mistakes! Those Black and white stripes on the bow were supposed to continue Up the superstructure. But I messed up the stripes so bad I can't continue them up the superstructure.

I didn't notice till the end either. I think there are about 7 up side down railings throughout the ship. Thank you Mark, if I can trust me, ANYONE can!

Popeye, I work for a Dept of public works as a heavy equipment operator. 20 inches here too.
CDW, I know what you mean. The beauty stopped me dead in my tracks, I had to take a photo. Then I shut the machine off and it was soo quiet, just the sound of snow falling it was so peaceful.
