So i have to start thinking about the acrylic case. Does anybody have any experience working with acrylic. I dont know if Its somthing I can do or if I should have it custom made. I have to make somthing like this acually almost exactly like this.

If i tryed 1/350 with my skills you wouldn't be able to see the model under all the glue!

Thanks Cog. Im just sitting beside him now surfing MSW, and passing time. That funnel looks like mine. My glue is just camera shy but trust me its there! Those 16 inch guns look awesome to.

Sorry it wasnt much progress this weekend guys. My dads in the hospital so I wont have much time to do alot until he gets out. I wanted to get alot more done but life happens I guess.

I was bored last night at 2am so I assembled one of the "mini kits" Now I am installing some railings or rungs or whatever they are called. I'm not happy there's glue everywhere! They are with out a doubt the hardest PE to glue. I dread them everytime.

Slow progress but atleast it's progress. I got three of the ladders attached it took for ever to get these off the sprue

I figured I would start at the bottom Cog. I started with the vent piece at the bottom rear then some vent pipes up the side. then I figured I'd do all the ladders. This is where I am now,bending ladders.

Hi Matelot thanks for stopping by! The shields came with the veteran model gun kits. So I did 4 with shields and 4 without. It's totally ok though I'm not to concerned about being super accurate. If I can just finish it and if some one who enters my home looks at it and says "thats cool" thats good enough for me

Definitely can't build at her place lol. I should get more Bismarck done tomorrow. I can devote 8 hrs tomorrow and 8 on Sunday. Stay tuned for photos in the next 2 days.

Yves, it's funny you say that. I was literally just thinking what if I just glued the bow onto the rest of the hull. But I must controll myself and not touch it. So Im going to bring it to my girlfriends house.

She's looking beautiful Danny! This is the part where you pull ahead of me. It's going to take me a while, but it is pretty cool when someone is doing the same ship and is at the same point of the build. I still cannot believe how much detail you can get from card, it's amazing!

So today I continue with the smoke stack. I really don't know where to start with this part as it's a little overwhelming. So I will break it down into several "mini kits". That seems to help. Mini kits 1,2,3,4 and 5 there are more also

So I took advantage of cyber monday and got a great deal on the 1/200 missouri. The next model is on its way! I got it for $230! I have never seen it under $300 before.

I have been painting handrails then fitting them because I had to install wooden decking but since these are all brass I will install them first then paint

Today I continue the smoke stack. This piece gets cooler every day. All the PE involved in this piece Is the reason I actually bought this model. Almost done with the first platform piece. I have to cut out the middle here so it will just be PE connecting the end pieces. this piece will span the gap between the funnel and the first super structure piece. I believe the foremast sits on this piece also.
