  1. Alan, do the plans show the supporting columns and their location? That was another of Mark's questions.
  2. Near the stove! Keith, the ladder turned out awesome. Happy New Year to you.
  3. Mark, welcome to MSW. Glad to have you aboard. The Elephant had a beam of 46 feet nine, the HMS Vanguard was also a 74 gun third rate ship had a beam of 46 feet ten. You could check out HMS Vanguard kits and her plans. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Elephant_(1786) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Vanguard_(1787)
  4. I'm using Guterrmann Sew All polyester thread on my 1:120 project and it's a tad small. It may or may not work for you but one spool is cheap. https://www.joann.com/gutermann-sew-all-polyester-thread-110-yards-greens/2276160.html
  5. Gary , you made my day! I so enjoy watching your creations come together, it sounds like you're going for the "saying more by saying less" concept. I know it'll be exceptional, can't wait for you to get started. Happy New Year!
  6. Jerzy, welcome to MSW. Glad to have you aboard.
  7. Anna, welcome to MSW. Please see the following, hopefully it helps.
  8. Don, welcome to MSW. We live next door in Grass Lake. Glad to have you aboard.
  9. Keith, the net turned out spiffy, best I've seen. Please tell your wife I think she did a marvelous job.
  10. John, I'd be interested in USS Navy figures from the 1870 to 1880 time period in 1:120 scale. Please PM me if your nephew is interested in taking on said project regarding price etc etc.
  11. John, welcome to MSW. Glad to have you aboard.
  12. Valeriy, I consider myself fortunate to have been able to witness your creation from start to finish. Completed, your version of the cruiser Varyag enters that rarified atmosphere of "the best of the best". Hopefully your patron shares her as much as possible and may she forever be known as Valeriy's Varyag. Thank you for the journey.
  13. And a cannon display would need one of these..... https://www.ebay.com/itm/125081192385?hash=item1d1f6b87c1:g:Dc8AAOSwZGNhHwz~&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoPvbKKugw%2Fo2lddk%2FrlcQuve%2FMd7%2BHJWs33H5Etz7qh7M7AXYbg%2FQEvPjV7pmhoPx1fF7gag9ejvqOdaHRIdcnDYKMNYllRAAXNWsMfnw5naexbZggkN1jorktw7NcLPR9R4ctykjrd6VXiXtIBl3VJcWiLsBwX0ZysvJKo4rv6yALNDtc80ipU1YcCDYD1ON9SNdxCKcFaDdgUDCEB5nGk%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_z5kvqqYQ
  14. Of all the attributes necessary to be become a successful ship modeler, stubbornness maybe number one on the list.
  15. Phil, I hate hearing you had a shipyard disaster. It's hard enough without having issues/disasters arise that cause setbacks. It's good to see you get back on the horse so quickly.
  16. My curiosity gland is inflamed, I wish someone was enamored because I could easily be talked into driving up and having a look see. And I'm betting $2,500.00 is the starting price not the "help me load it in my truck" price.
  17. Tom, the transom looks nice, the molding turned out great. I agree, putting the stern davits on the top rail would look better.
  18. Andy, welcome to MSW. Your models look great and I look forward to seeing your first build log. Glad to have you aboard.
  19. Well, that made me LOL. It probably was one of those "here, hold my beer" moments.
