Those are some great pics John. Isn't it amazing what a difference actual daylight does for the quality of the photo?  I'll be spending the next few months getting accessories for a few of the power tools I already have, so I'll be in contact in the next few months for stuff for the mill and other goodies.

Edit: Almost forgot to ask if you were planning on putting her up in the Gallery here?

John, congratulations on a great finish to a spectacular model.
Your experience and careful documenting thereof has been of great help to me as I plod along working intermittently on the Morgan.
Got diverted finishing up a software project, but will be getting back to work shortly and referencing your build log frequently.
Looking forward to your next (? RV friendly) build.

love the diorama effect John .......I'd say though that you had more fun with the whale boats,  than the Morgan herself......I think      awesome build my friend.......and gonna look sweet on the mantle

    Hi John,

There are no words to describe your work and your documentation.  Outstanding.  SInce we last chatted the planking is complete from the plank sheer to the wale and the measurement did the trick, it got me off dead center.   Thanks for your help and let's stay in touch.

Ha. I would never accuse you of not loving whales - quite the opposite. Well done model John and, again, the diorama is an outstanding surprise "ending".

Well, my belt sander came in Friday and I've completed the base, mounted the ship to it, and I have a 3/16" scale Sperm Whale that I sculpted to go alongside the ship along with a fully fitted out whaleboat complete with sails. the whale has been harpooned and lanced and tied alongside. I am now officially finished. The base is a slab of wood cut from the Bowsprit of the real Morgan, obtained from the Dupont Preservation Shipyard, Mystic Seaport, Mystic, CT., rough finished and Satin Varnished to protect it.

    I'M DONE!
