  1. It looks more like a bird, when it has it's beak!
  2. CDW, it is a single action and siphon. I got my airbrush in July 2019, that's the one I used on this build, but I also got a double action with the compressor purchased in Feb 2021!
  3. Started build and used my airbrush for the first!
  4. The last time I finish a model was back in the 1900's, 1982 to be precise, and that model was a Monogram 1959 Corvette. So, I thought I might try another car.
  5. Built this model when I was a kid, 50 yrs ago, your build makes me want to build it again!
  6. Nice Work! I am building the the plastic 'Jolly Roger' and wanted to compare to your build.
  7. I haven't tried drilling out the barrel yet, but I did glue the cockpit in and joined the upper and lower fuselage together!

  9. I added a piece of brass tube for a gun barrel. Big mistake. After researching, it should just be a hole, as the barrels are farther back. I would remove it, however, it would be difficult without damage, so incorrect it will be.
  10. I did get a little farther on the wings, dark oil wash, clear coat, then gray and white oils to break up the monotone color

  12. I will try to fix some problems with the kit, first I will make new decks and add 1/350 scale wood decks I removed the plastic from the bottom of the kit decks so I can use them as patterns

  14. I've painted and decaled the wings and will weather them using oils for the first time!?!
  15. The plan is to build a model that will look like this I will use this photo of a USS Vestal resin model to build a scratch built model in 1/429 scale
  16. It has been suggested that I do a 'Before the Attack' model as well. My wife has OK-ed the purchase of another Revell model, I found one at Hobby Lobby for only $15
