Update...
its time to get the rudder further on..
two cladding brass sheets are soldered together on the aft edge, top and bottom a narrow triangle piece is soldered in, and that fits on the already installed hinged skeleton.

the rudder is preliminary mounted. The propshaft housings are faired down to a smooth and a little smaller diameter
here the tapered rudder can be seen
rudder full starboard....
and midship....
ready for primering, now the portside rudder must be done to the same status...

Due to a move and all the renovation that came with it it has been quite some time. Most of the equipment is still packed and the ship itself stored away. But finally I allowed myself some time to do some work on her. These are two figurines that sit on the outside next to the previous set. Still a bit in a rough unfinished phase but the basic shape starts to appear.

Thanks guys.
SpyGlass: the wales are painted (dull black) and varnished. Plain parts are just varnished with Lord Nelson semi-matt. More and more I realise that for the next model I will need to buy proper wood of the same colour. Combination of tanganyika and differently toned walnut looks weird unpainted.
I've finally added the second pair of seats of ease as well as boards to give the crew some privacy. Again, Dan's suberb Vulture was the model.
