Congratulations Chuck.
im just novice in this hobby but it was tremendous learning force for me.
Enjoyed every minute of it and even more every look at finished piece.
so complex and so beautiful. Thankfully this hobby is not momentous as music but rather like paining art.
takes years to finish but achievement stays for centuries to impress, shine and give emotions.... cant wait to strip and redo last part with proper parts.

wow Thanks Rich and Everyone else to input regarding figurehead. what a magnificent input. I myself thought that goddess seen on black white photo Rob showed must be different . that drapery looks so unnatural almost amateurish to me comparing original sculpture....
perhaps i will try her. i have month till all ropes and blocks fo glory arrives and already making sails.
@Dear Rob, i have some issue regarding bowsprit rigging chains. accurate measuring is telling me 0.2 mm chain ! i bet its jewellery necklace category.
Rob is the source for your chain have such tiny chains?
otherwise all other sources i have possible is 0.5mm and 1mm. to make it bigger.....
Thanks much. V.

Obviously as Seen on photo AS Well, fcastle front was panelled. Pretty much white ať later stages byť who knows if not natural asi Well ať some tímes. So I followed capitans cabin decor to Keepi IT uniform. Sony be visible under ladders anyway..m forecastle Still without machinery but pretty much almost complete ať this stage...underneath inside still a bit messy ..
One thing, those commercial ladders
annoy me. I am thinking od making curvier ones to correspond the éra. If im Up to that. Fór aesthetic sake IT woud look much nicer i Guess.

for goodness sake Rob, those bowsprit lines look like some spider net from discovered an ancient mythical machine from atlantis :)) it cant get more complicated that isnt it.

Good evening in Europe day in u.s.
After long break In finally moving somewhere....
Mr. McKay was to check the progress AS fcastle IS being rebuilt. New flooring installed and beautiful rounded Arrow to the tip. I know i know.tapering and so on...majú things omitted in this scale. Understandably i assume. Attention was paid to play planks tightly and secure catheads.
plenty of work to do AS continues ...
APolohy to purists fór any inacuracy. juh We still dont know what fcastle looked like 🤪.
Ať least McKay IS nie pretty satisfied with Bright of fcastle.
good day everyone.
any comment or critical point appreciqted AS always.
next - ornamentation of Down front sides of fcastle
Close Up showing complexity of lines of timbers and new height and connection of fcastle ... -
Those lights are quite something . Everything so neat.

Rob, Vladimir et all,
I just stumbled on some beautiful close-ups of Lloyd McCaffery's impressive "Glory" carving of Glory of the Seas" classic Grecian Goddess 'Athena' figurehead, found in my wife's phone. As it turned out, my phone's battery was low, so I borrowed Peg's and took these beautiful, sharp images. Which I then forgot were even in her cell phone. Vladimir, these should be a perfect resource to aiding you in recreating your own figurehead.
Thanks Rich. astounding. you know that perfect figurehead is my ultimate goal by at the same time its beyond my capacity so im patiently waiting to find a way ho to get it materialised. im redoing fcastle at least but weather is still not enough gloomy to get me start working properly. and time is so scarce. but its coming. Todays rain pushed me to unwrap glory, and what a lovely memories of making her. I was surprised by amount of minute works i was able to do last winter preparing rigging. Almost backed Up if able to continue again. But after i took a knife ..
I Jumper into remaking fcastle, and I did quite a preparation structural work...
Flooring and catheads holes still missing but hell...only now i am completely satisfied with her appearance AS whole and satisfied with her hull finally !
AS IT changed her look quite drastically and prssively so. I was complaining and pointing out the fcastle IS ridiculously low if followed her main line, event before beautiful photo of fcastle appeared.
Higher ceiling of it gave All bow Area
substantial bigger lovely appearance and visibility, ...and place below fór work....
I cant wait to put floor and lovely cornering pieces with rounded point in her.
Here are few photos ..lokks like im in track to continue
Thanks you fór comments...

Thanks Everyone fór input. Im glad Rob & Ruch that you find fcastle updates plausible. Raiaing It Its big big change and move towards originap and oberall appearance of vessel. Lifeboats, Indeed, We already discussed that in past. Im going to remove front rail above captains head of Cabin so i intend to place them to originál position. Or I Could hang them on davits not sure yet. Front of cabin IS Well documented in photos ATM and also visible under skid Beam so im not concerned to cover IT trom above AS i was before.
By the say i hlave rather serious update about my figurehead. Friends seeing photos of her wanted to 3D scan IT fór modeling :DD asking Vlad do you have sculpture in your posession ? I laughed a world out. no. Its in USA and unless i am president there IS noway i Can have IT. So We have to tender from photo. Obviously. Well im quite tempted to see the outcome. Fingers crossed.
Moving aft on her next.
