The coal bunker has also been made. I'll fit this to the cab after I've done a bit more detailing to the controls :

No, I won't be ripping anything out  . I have used those pics and the website they came from to enhance my model a bit, so thanks for posting them  . I'm leaving the lubrication pipes where they are as they don't interfere with anything else. I won't be going to the extent that the other guy did - he's used some 3D printed fittings which I can't get for a few weeks (but I ordered some). Most of the difference with our models is that he's painted his, which I won't be doing.

Oh ........ dear   . Now THAT is nice - way beyond my pay grade  . The thing is I'm building in paper because I don't want to paint, or as little as possible anyway  .

    Thanks Pav.

Sorry Bruce, NO to both questions. Scratchbuilts are nearly all one-offs so an Index would be fairly useless. Use the Search function in the Scratchbuild forum to find any specific ship you may be looking for.

You may be able to find P.O.F. builds the same way if the builder has identified their model as such in the title.

Dan Vadas got a reaction from EricWilliamMarshall in Rolls Royce Merlin Engine for Spitfire by Dan Vadas - FINISHED - Alin Osarik design - 1/33 scale - Card
    Hi all,

Here's a tricky build. It's a 1/33 scale attempt at a Rolls Royce Merlin engine to be displayed as a "stand-alone" model next to the Mk. IX Spitfire I built. It's a design by Alin Osarik and a downloadable copy of it can only be found on THIS SITE.

As far as I'm aware no-one has successfully managed to build one at this small a scale, and no wonder - some of the parts are TINY  . All other builds I have seen have been blown up to 1/16 scale. But I'll have a go  .

Here's a pic of the parts. They come on one page, but there are a further 34 pages of step-by-step rendered photo instructions :

One example of the size of the parts :

And this is what I've done so far. This is the start of the engine compartment framework that supports the engine. It's been designed to fit inside the Halinski Card Spitfire, which may be a future build for me as I have a 2nd model Spitfire that came with the original kit that I've already built.

    Hi Peter,

You said it - "we are all human". Your build log was in the "Wooden Ships" Index, you hadn't added "RADIO" to the title so I didn't know that it needed to go into the R/C Index. I've edited the title of your log for you and updated the R/C Index.

The other log by NMBROOK has been deleted, he did it himself. He has had some kind of issue with this forum and is no longer a member.

His other build logs and posts are still there, just hidden from the general membership as he has been Banned by this forum. This is normal forum policy - we don't delete the content of Banned members in case the issue is resolved at a later date and the member is restored. In that case all his/her topics and posts are then "Un-Hidden".

Have a good day. Cheers, Danny
