    Thank you everyone, 😊, I managed to tie on the gammoning detail with out to much trouble. I also made my first mainstay collar, I used served line to make the collar, then seized It, it looks right out of the book, Rigging Period Ship Models by Lennarth Patersson. I have installed 5 forestays so far, I added the figurehead, just to see what it looks like I guickly took it off and put it back in the box, lol. I know myself well, I would have brokin it off, and it is a replacement one my daughter got for me from when I destroyed the first one. Got a lot of outside work on the go so things will slow a bit, but I want to do the crowsfeet lines next. They look scary but once you have done them a few times it's like riding a bike. And the best part is , if I need help MSW is here to help. Lots of stays to rig, and details on how to tie them on, hopefully I get them to look the same. PS I put the figurehead back in the box lol, for safe keeping Knocklouder 😁 Kurt ⚒️

    Thanks Steve, @Coyote_6 I use a silver Sharpie to mark the ratlines, I start at the brass wire and work my way down with the spacer, once the ratlines are finished most has rubed off and a quick coat of tar, aka, black paint takes care of the rest. It also hides all the ca marks lol. Works for me. Bob M.

    250 clove hitche later, I have finished the ratlines. Kurt and I cut up 90 ratlines this morning and started tieing them on., lots of fun stuff. After the shrouds are marked it easy to tie the ratlines on, just remember to tie at the top of the mark. Starting to look like the box. Now I will start running some stays , all the lines are ready to go, but tomorrow. I was going good till I finished the ratlines, then old age mentioned that I was tied lol 😆. Won't be long before I will need to start the yards, but lots of stuff to do ,gun port lids, remounting of the swivel guns lol. I am on no hurry to do that but eventually I will have to. Lol.     This is the place to be, so many choies , every kit is an adventure? You won't go wrong with a Vanguard Model. River boats are fun , small amout of rigging, the Sea of Galilee boat by Scott Miller will test your planking skills, but it is a fun build, maybe a ship in a bottle. Good luck on your journey, what ever you pick MSW will help when you ask. Lol Bob M.

    Could it be a cable system that the car ferry works with. I have seen a couple of ferry they run on a cable, back and forth across the river. Nobody steers Knocklouder 😁

    Good luck on your journey with this build, I had the time of my life putting this boat together, it has some pitfalls, but turns out to be a fun model, I got the figures as well not to impressed but at 6 feet veiwing distance they look ok. I will follow along, pulling up a chair. Bob M

    The last deadeye on the port side ,I hang two forceps for weight then seize the line twice. they are lining up pretty good. 11 upper shrouds to tie up on the starboard side, then finish up the ratlines. Maybe I will get to run some stays, that will make her look like a ship lol. With 11 shrouds left to tie up, then upper ratlines tied on I will start to run some fore and aft stays, coming along quickly now, the yards will slow me down, lol, that and the snow. We got some last night, so today I have to put the blade on the tractor and change the First Mate's tires.     My Catharpins on the foremast are a bit shaky, lol. The hands are definitely shaking today, but a little ca helps, Once tared they will look fine. Kurt Builder just rolled his eyes . I am going to rig the upper shrouds on the main mast then I will do the Catharpins on the main mast. After that I will tie the Mizzen mast up, then do the Catharpins, that should give me enough time in-between each Catharpins. So jig on the main upper shrouds, ratlines to follow. Kurt doesn't seem to understand my fasanation with rat lines 😁. The upper shrouds are tied on ready to go, Kurt needs a nap , sounds good to me as well, later my friend's. I picked up this little vise to help me with the yards, awhile back I saw this here on one of the logs, I was not paying attention to who posted but I liked it so ordered one, 20 bucks and you get drill bits and a pin vise so for me good deal. I needed the bits anyway. Shrouds and ratlines, I am on cruise control, full speed ahead. 😎. Knocklouder 😁 Kurt ⚒️

    The look on the box looks good, black and white rails , one vote for making it look like the box. They seem to fade out when left brass, black and white stand out. My opinion only, great work. Bob M

    Yee haaa , lower ratlines are finished. On to the upper shrouds and ratlines, then the bowsprit mast needs to be rigged. A couple of days, then I need to start making the yards. Things are going fantastic, ratlines will do that to you lol. Really taking my time now, I want to rig it just right. Futtock shrouds and upper ratlines are next up.     This is just so much fun. Late getting started...second cup of coffee plus Gobsmacked by @Keith Black sunshine picture, I slowly started ratlines. Finished the Mizzen , got all the main and formast marked out ready to go. The most important thing for me to remember is tie the ratlines at the top of the mark. After I tar them they will look good. Two more swivel guns back in the box, lol. Four left. 😁 Hopefully by the end of the day the lower ratlines will be finished. Big thanks to all who have showed me how to tie ratlines, I might side track to the Futtock shrouds, if I get to frustrated, I will tie a few rats 🐀. I might even put the upper Mizzen shrouds and ratlines on. 😁. Weeeee!! Knocklouder 😁 Kurt ⚒️

    Well that felt great. 208 clove hitches . That finish the lower portside ratlines, what a lift. Really feeling the pace pick up..we will see how she hold up. Runner and Kurt work real well together, Runner is just a kid, Kurt says let's just let things dry up a bit. Runner was up the Mizzen mast ratlines so fast and just screaming Let's Giv"er the Futtock shrouds are dry let go Let's go. But I am with Kurt on this , drying time just happens to the same time as nap time ,lol, old guys rule. Going to SPIN this ship around and start the starboard side ratlines later. Then I will do the upper shrouds and ratlines, but I leave the Futtock shrouds ratlines till later, sort of of we bit of happiness ahead 😀. I can't belive how excited an old shakey man love building ships. My Pegasus is turning out to be a fun build, I am looking forward to learning the ropes. Best Hobby Ever ... Knocklouder 😁 Kurt ⚒️
