  1. Hello Jim and welcome aboard,

This is a great place to learn and share tips and techniques.

I think the Enterprise is an intermediate kit. But if you really want to build it, feel free to start a buildlog.

If needed, you'll find plenty of advise, help and encouragement from everyone.

One of our members, Adam (SkerryAmp) has created 'The Model Ship World Ship Kit Database'. http://mswshipkits.ampitcher.com/

You can search the database on skill level, manufacturer, scale, kit type etc. It is certainly worth having a look.

You also might have a look in the Ship Modeling Database of articles for information about Model Ship Kits - What to expect and Kit selection http://modelshipworldforum.com/ship-model-plans-and-research.php

I wish you smooth sailing and happy modelling.

    Regards,

    Anja

  2. Welcome aboard Hugh,

Can't help you with your question, but maybe someone else can.

Or you can start a buildlog and ask your 'unanswerable' questions there.

There are a lot people here who are willing to help and advise and answer any questions you might have on your build or plans.

I wish you smooth sailing and happy modelljng

    Regards,

    Anja

  3. Welcome aboard Ed,

There are some America builders here, but only from Mamoli. Haven't seen one from Bluejacket.

I don't know if there is a practicum, but maybe one of our other members can help you.

May I advise you not to share personal information like email addresses or phone numbers. This is a public forum, non-members can read this as well. Members can reach you by sending you a PM.

Good luck with your search and your build.

I wish you smooth sailing and happy modelling.

    Regards,

    Anja

  4. Welcome aboard Jesse,

The Rijksmuseum indeed have some great models in that room.

Have you also seen the models of the 'William Rex' and the 'Prins Willem?

Once you gat started with your brig Eagle, feel free to start a buildlog.

If needed you'll find plenty of help and advise and everyone will answer any questions you might have on your build.

Enjoy your stay here and I wish you smooth sailing and happy modelling.

    Regards,

    Anja

  7. Hello Dave,

Not only The Black Prince from Mamoli, but also Bluenose from Amati.

You are a busy person. Did you start a buildlog yet for the Black Prince?

Commercial use of plans is only allowed when written permission is granted by the draughtsman and/or owner of the original drawings. I think the plans are protected with a copyright.

Construction plans for Bluenose are still available with Amati. contact@amatimodel.com

Or check their website for retailers.

    Regards,

    Anja
