  1. A little bit more from Facebook. 1/86, similar scale to the new HMS Victory, but a smaller ship.
  2. Perhaps HMS Sovereign of the Seas/Sovereign/Royal Sovereign?
  3. They are announcing it on their website already, but no further hints.
  4. Very nice. HMV always delivers, in design, paper and print quality.
  5. It is available, I have mine at home already. It looks good. https://kolderstok.com/products/test?variant=48902049366342
  6. If you decide on the Caldercraft version (I did, and very much recommend it), there is a very useful build report of the prototype: http://www.jotika-ltd.com/Pages/1024768/Victory_Front.htm
  7. Thanks for the review! An improvement I notice over the AL Vasa, is that there are proper deadeyes now, instead of lasercut ones. With the Vasa I wasn't too enamoured with the single planking in limewood, and the way it looked after varnishing, but at least this hull will be fully painted/copper plated. Looks like the lasercut and PE parts are excellent. Again highly detailed and easy-to-understand instructions, but a printed version would be welcome.
  8. My home-made solution to an ever growing problem.
  9. Very nice build, gives a good insight how this model was designed. I enjoyed building this one too, I finished it in a light wood paint as to keep the details visible.
  10. That's a great build, congrats! I built this one too several years ago, I remember it to be a lot of fun, but the end results was not quite as intricate as yours.
  11. Thank you all! Gregg, that ship is the VOC East-Indiaman Batavia, which got infamously wrecked off Australia on her maiden voyage. It is a model published by Kolderstok in the Netherlands (https://kolderstok.com/en/) (kolderstok is Dutch for whipstaff). There's a full replica in Lelystad, which I visited a number of times to photograph for the model.
