  1. Mark, I think you are to late....I have send the Aggy all ready ! What kind of pattern are we talking about ? I didn't know that there was several of that.
  2. Thanks Gil, You are not that old ...... Just a young lad with a lot of skills and joy to make a tremendous build ! I'm learning from you and I'm happy with that. The rope I've got from OcCre is not as good as the rope that I get from Caldercraft for the Agamemnon. The light rope what I've got and using is from Gutherman. Also for the serving Great rope to work with. By the time I'm 90 ...maybe I can do it also your way
  3. Hi Graig, The finish line is still far away but that's no problem. I just keep going on
  4. Nice Adriaan, That bow is pointy With some filler you can bring is to a good end !
  5. I have found a solution thanks to Popeye and Mobbsie I let it twist, remove the lanyard while holding the deadeye, replace the lanyard and it stays straight ! Only a lot of rack...... So the deadeyes are a little bit lower. I have to leave it for one day and then tight them up. 2 shrouds ( 1 pair ) a day...... Thank you Popeye and Mobbsie ! And the Aggy still stays in the box !!!!! (takes a long time before it is the first of January )
  6. Hi Dave, Thanks for your help. It's the shrouds that are turning around when I put the lanyards in and fixed them. And on the shrouds we have those wonderful ratlines....... I think that there is only one solution left.......order new rope......
  7. Thanks Wayne and Augie, @ Wayne, I have let the shroud hanging for one day with a weight and still twisting...... This is the first time that I have this problem. With the other models, no problem !
  8. Question for every one . When I place the shrouds and put the deadeye in then.....the lanyards. When I fixed the lanyard, the top deadeye is twisting around with the lanyard. It becomes a spiral....... I try to serving the rope and one without the serving. With and without the beeswax. Nothing helps , it keep twisting. I remove it now for 5 times and I have enough of it. What do I wrong ! Can anyone tell me that ? One option is available and that is ....let the lanyards hanging loose but I think that that is not the meaning. Should I buy new rope ?????
  9. Congratulations Adriaan !!! She's a real beauty and you can be proud of what you have done ! It was a long journey but the result is great ! Mission complete !
  10. Jason, You've got the nerve to do it ! Great , little tutorial ! You can use this also at your next build
  11. Yes Adeline, Pictures are coming when I have done the new shrouds. And your Grandmother is a wise woman !!!!
  12. A little update...... If you can call it an update ! No Pictures this time because.......I make a mistake ! The shrouds for the mizzen mast where on the ship but.....WRONG ROPE !!!!!!! I was cleaning up the workbench and I was looking again at the rope that I've got. Then I see a few rolls with thicker tread , 0.80 Strange ....so I look at the plans and yep, that rope should be going to use for the shrouds......instead of 0,50 So I have to remove the shrouds that's on it and have to change it..... One luck for me....I don't like it as it was. So tomorrow demolition and doing it again on the mizzen mast.....
  13. It's red ...... It's dark red...... It's not fire brigade red...... I think I like it ! I know for sure that I like it !
  14. Hi Andy, I understand it. You need a truck when you move her from your house to the club house...... I shall looking forward to the next progress.
  15. That looks great Rich ! Something to be proud of !!!!!!!! And she has her own bed You are giving her a varnish or a stain coat ?
  16. Hi Andy, You show us the size of the model and you have to put it on the floor.... Your workbench is to short ?????? When you are painting her, I think you gonna use airbrush ? And then not at home but you have to go to a garage with a paint cabin ????? When she is finished and you want to put her in a case, it cost you a fortune....... And you have to make space in your house .....
  17. Hi Gil, Your rigging looks fabulous ! And then every time a little tutorial Thanks ! The rope you are using, is that from the kit ?
  18. Hi Graig, When I can procured a kit this way and it safe me money, why not ? I did the same with the Aggy. Mobbsie ordered it in England and I'll pick it up at his place. It safe me about 400 Euro's ( 547 US Dollars ) And I was in England that time so two flies at one hit !
  19. Hi All and thanks ! The Aggy is one level up waiting for the first of January Sam, There are gears on it. On both sides.
  20. I have so many questions about this BIG beast but I will look where it ends..... One question then.... You are saying in the beginning at the build that you put an middle section in it . Is that possible with all that kind of builds ?
