  2. You are saying that it is rough painting..... You can say that ! It looks like the jar of paint has exploded !!!!!!! Colour looks good when you do a fine job with the painting...... I also notice that when i magnify the picture, the hull needs an other layer of paint....I see white stripes.......
  3. Andy, I'm happy that everything is back on track ( power ) at your place. And Frank ? You don't make friends with those texts
  4. Nice work John, Only one remark...... Is that holder from the grinding wheel not to white ? It pops out !
  5. Hi Grant, Looks great your spars/yards.... Only the rope at the top are to loose. You have to tie it a little. Best wishes for 2014 with a lot of modelling time !
  6. By the time you finished the build and with all the re-do's that you have to do, you are building two Confeds So for the next time.....stay away from the salami ! Any change that we see some pics ? ( not from the salami )

  12. Hi Adam, That's a real beauty ! I love your way of working. I'm happy that you are chancing the masts for other wood. This looks more real. And your capstan is just outstanding ! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for you and your love ones !
  13. And there is another master of planking ! Great planking job Popeye. But with all those ship it's not a miracle that you can plank like this
  14. Wow Augie, You are a real master of planking ! Unbelievable !!!!!! Those squires that I see at the bottom, are those gun ports ?
  15. Larry, Your model is also a pleasure for the eye..... Take your time with it and you will bring it to an good end. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for you and your love ones !
  16. Rich, You can be proud of your planking ! That looks real great. And now a layer of varnish ?
  17. Jason, I'm using beeswax and then the real stuff. I'm not seeing any fuzz anymore ( when I don't forget to use it )
  18. Piet, I still follow you skills. Where you get it is for me a riddle ! But I love it. For you and yours......Prettig Kerstfeest en een gelukkig nieuw jaar !!!!!!!! ( sorry folks that I do it in Dutch but otherwise Piet can not read it )
  19. Jason, Your serving is great ! It's just what you are saying....practicing ! And just like Jim, I also use Gutherman thread ! They have so much colours that there is always a colour that you need. And it looks if you have made it with a rope walker Easy to do also the seizing around the rope, not fuzzy. Try is one times. And between you and me.....I also bought a serving machine from Alexey. Last thing to do for me, wish you are Merry Christmas and a good New Year !
  20. Hi Jan, I can see that your bulwark are wrong..... I don't know what kind of glue you are using but try to loose it with water. When you leave it this way, your gun ports are to high and you've got problems with placing the cannons. Try to fix it.
  21. Hi Mick, Sorry for the misunderstanding..... The deadeyes where are still empty are not for shrouds but for stays. Each part of the mast has his stay what goes on to the deadeye. When I finished the ratlines, you will see what I mean.
  22. No Mark, November will not work ! You are retired and do not have much time to do modelling Like your answer to Matti. Building is always spending more times to see at things goes where, when, and how things goes....
