With Frank getting back on his feet and Sjors turning his attention to the Spanish fleet, I thought it would be a good time for a small update with some long promised photos.

The main and fore lower yards have been completed with the exception of the braces and sheets as I would surely entangle myself if those were in place.  The spaghetti all over the deck are those ropes ready to be deployed later.

The main and fore topsail yards have been pinned in place and are ready to be rigged.  We'll set the rigging spiders loose after celebrating the Memorial Day holiday here in the US.

I gotta tell ya that this rigging is a slow process but I haven't had so much fun since........planking......or was it coppering?

Please - I'm blushing!! If there is any "incompetence" in your build, you've done an expert's work at covering it up! All I can see is nice, clean and well-detailed craftsmanship!

Modelling skills and the ability to successfully manage all episodes are concluding at a really great build...

Good afternoon from Somerset on a chilly bank holiday Monday

managed a good few hours this weekend, but still find myself working around the stern area, the window sill are in and look better than the brass profile as directed by the manual

port side windows are fitted, also without glazing, at least both side are the without it,

will try and do some more later on today, but for now i have my treadmill wanting to take me 5KM,

    all the best

Thanks to everyone for looking in and for the great shot in the arm.  This forum is just the greatest place for instruction and encouragement.......because of the people on it.

Still a long way to go...and a lot more things to work around.  But somewhere along the line the time and effort to show progress has been replaced by the satisfaction of getting it (almost) right.

Be back once we get more yards aloft.

Grant, don't even worry about it for one minute

Every little tidbit of extra information is always appreciated. The timing may not allow me to implement the correction, but don't worry... As I've said there's always "next" time

Well, something happened and I lost what I just put here as a post, so I'll start over again.....the time has come and I couldn't stand it any more, so I at least got started good today. I sat outside, watched the boats and the bods on the lake formed the fillers, shaped the bulkheads, glued all of that to the keel. She's started....pictures to show the progress. My goal is to be prepared to plank her while I'm on the road, so that means I need to be at the planking stage before I leave in the next few weeks. But, Tuesday, back to reality, and things to do besides work in the shipyard. In the pictures, the plankshear is just laying on the ship for reference, it is not shaped or glued, I just wanted to see what's next. Have a wonderful Memorial Day, and for the vets on this site....Thank You for Serving!.....

Popeye, I'm a little curious........ are you by any chance involved in some type of " How Many Models Can You build In a Month " contest ??      ..... Man , you are like lightning when it comes to model building.... I noticed a bottle of meds in one of your pictures, they wouldn't happen to be " model building " pills ,would they??  ..... Your Half-Moon is coming along nicely... I don't know how you do it, but you do it!!!

Hi Augie, that is one fine job of rigging you have done. You're making a complex process
seem effortless. I always enjoy catching up on your build.

    Well done.
