The first set of pics. I found one mistake. Look at the Union Jack Flag. HMS Pandora comes from 1779, so.....
Maybe I'm wrong. I need your opinion in this building log.
A shop-assistant told me that constructo don't build HMS Pandora any more. Does anyone know why?
AND ANOTHER QUESTION about the treenails. The kit is 1:85 scale.
Is it ok to put 0.6mm treenails. Won't it be too large?

The windows are almost ready...
The white stripes are very helpful to immitate the parts of the windows.

Today, I have been thinking of the windows. The metal cast was not empty so I had to drill out the windows. Maybe they are not as perfect as I would wish but...
I thought of cutting out a piece transparent foil and using a piece of white sticker paper. I cut out the horizontal and perpendicular stripes, glued them to the foil and - look at the outcome. I think it's not so bad, don't you?

My son in Houston picked up the ship and delivered it to me on 1/4/15. The first order of business is to inventory everything, learn more about documenting, and learn to take pictures.

One of the details I wanted to add was a grapnel anchor..
The main problem was how to manufacture these..
An idea came up in my head using a 1,5 mm brass tube and 5 pcs. of 0,4mm wire and I started working on it.
Underneath again a visual sequence of the idea.
Even though the result is not bad, especially after blackening, I wasn't satisfied with the “hooks” and the wire i used, .."peanuts" maybe.., but anyway, I started on version 2.
This time i used a 2mm brass tube and a slightly thicker (0,5 mm) brass wire and also a different hook type.
And by using 2 mm brass tube, I could shape the shaft a bit more, but.., unfortunately it could only contain 4 wires..
It’s still not perfect, but I leave it for now…
This is the final result after some fine-tuning, blackening and a cable attached.

Welcome every body.
Finally i am there.
Tree build up to now,to build some experience and skill,for this project.
I am glad to start the Santa Ana.
I open the box this morning,to check all parts,fitting,wood,and instruction.
I have to admit the instruction manuel is fantastic minimum tree picture per page,and plan
are well done.
The cut for parts is also good,i just hope the enthusiasm of first view will continue.
So now first step after counting parts,is to number them and separate them from the form.
I will come back with some picture later.

If i am doing something wrong feel free to help me.

I have taken the first stap !
The first copperplates are on it......
I thought is was a easy job but that was a mistake.
I have removed now i think about 12 plates....
I was not happy with the result.
But we have the first part.
Please give me your comment on that!
