  1. No progress at the moment - I had hoped to carry on from where I left off, but I just cant find the motivation at the moment. Thank you to all for the kind comments and of course all the likes. OC.
  2. Yep go with that one mate, I once (as a kid) glued the wings on back to front on a plastic jet, but I just pretended that was the way they should be, after developing a love affair with all thigs that fly, I tended not to do the same thing again. OC.
  3. I had to do a similar thing on my build but the opposit way - my transom was too short so I had to add to it including putting a larger rudder block over the false rudder, just a case of working round what needed doing. OC.
  4. Its a type 42 batch 3 extended destroyer based aroung HMS Edinburgh with thr front built up bulwark, after seeing her a few times I decided to do a basic kit of her. OC.
  5. Hi carl, its the last ww2 uk destroyer still around I beleive, its in chatham old harbour near London. OC.
  6. I have felt the same as you my friend, with my Greyhound build I reached a stage before planking the hull where I nearly binned the whole thing, but I gave my build some time then with a fresh set of eyes and a refreshed mojo - I pushed on and months later I am where I am now. OC.
  7. Lovely work piet, I first saw cotton wool used too great affect with an aircraft dio, it can look fantastic. You are doing an amazing job and its looking superb. OC.

  9. Good evening fellow builders and all the kind likes, I have had a small diversion from my build (lifes little hick ups) Before I was taken away from the bench, I had started to construct the second 9pdr cannon/carriage that goes under the poop deck overhang, I had painted both parts and put them aside to dry, next stage will be the same as the first one finished off with gluing it in place. I will be back to the bench tomorrow with any luck, at the moment I am still coming down from my brothers adventure. Thank you to all - Warmly and Sincerely. OC.
  10. Wonder if this film link will help you guys out - its from a ww2 film based around a RN Destroyer and here crew, not sure if its relavent but have a look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTNscjQ_Hgc OC.
