  6. Thank you so much Gary, I will be back on it - just giving my HMS Hood build some love. OC.
  7. Evening all, more work done today - I added more details to the top observation radar look out, and painted the legs/bottom starfish Black. I also relicated the 15in shell entrance and enry port. OC.
  8. Check re fit then check agian that chap is saying - always a three way ratio - check / measure Twice then attach / glue. OC.
  9. Did a bit more reading on Hoods fatal encounter with Bismarck and Prince Eugen, and found out Hood received atleat Three shots to her - one was a HE round from Prince Eugen that landed on the rear of the boat deck near to the main mast and made the 4in ready ammo lockers go off, a fire started but as the ammo cooking and going off everywhere crew was told to take cover, these fires and exploding ammo did stop after a while, the next one was a AP round from Bismarck that came down through the roof (as they were all using lunging shots due to the 12 + mile range) it went straight through the Spotting Top enclosure and came out the other side before going into the water, this killed all who were in there and knocked out the 284 radar. The last one that hit was the killer we all know about from Bismarck - going through the deck close the main mast ingniting the ammo and causing that Massive explosion that killed her. OC.
  10. Evening all, so work on this has started again, - started by painting some of the small item like vents, then the next thing to be built was the front coning tower look out mast and legs - very fiddly and akward to get them lined up, after an hour or so I gave it a coat of paint and a bit of wash to show the windows. OC.
  11. First things first - I will have some bits to still fit to her - like the forward coning tower/look out bridge, and the forward 15in mounts, no need for me to worry about x and y turrets as they were blown off by the explosion on the rear deck, and I will be only showing the rear hull with only half of the open barbette for y turret showing as she looses the stern end first. OC.
  12. Here's a question - is the best way to do it - to place both hull parts in (say a plastic tub being used for the water mix) then pour the mix in and around both hull parts - then when set, cut away the plastic tub and then place the sea/hull parts on to the base I want to use, will the resin sea part be tough enough to keep the hull parts in place till I place them on the base? OC.
