Evening all, more work on my 54/55th with Jackets and Trousers getting some colours - the trousers were in different shades based around an Off White but often the basic Fusilier troops would have what ever torusers were available. OC.

Thank you Ken, yes indeed they are very nice figures - only complaint their Shakos are a we bit overscale, but by keeping them in their own part of the dio, it shouldn't be that noticable. OC.

Just been reading through your set back with the warping, before I read further on that you have now started to re set your beams - I was going to suggest removing your decking and if it may have been possible to have rigged up a support beam across the wood beams and somehow used that to pull up the beams to set them all level. OC.

Evening all, more figure work with both the French and KGL, I decided to prime a few of the resin KGL wounded - think they look ok, also I have started detail painting some of the 54th and 55th Ligne. OC.

Thank you kindly Ken, I am quite pleased with the Satin top coat on the Two horses I re did, I will do the same to the others after I flat coat them with my airbrush. OC.

Evening all, Firstly can I say a Huge Thank You for all the Likes and comments, right I made some good progress today, I finished off both Major Baring's second in command and my Third Hussar, they both just need flat top coating. My Satin top coat arrived this morning , so I tried it out on my Two Cuirassier horses - I did a good job of creating a natural horse coat sheen, but left the other details nice and flat. OC.

I have been doing a bit of reading on the net on the horses I am displaying on both sides - the British Hussars favoured Bays or Chestnut horses and the French Cuirassiers favoured Boulonnais Horses, from the reading apparently Napolen purchased Thousands of these breeds in different colours from their normal White Marbal.Grey to dark Browns and even Blacks, they are Heavy strong horses with good endurance and the cuirassiers them selves where chosen to be tall and strong men - that combination must have been a real handfull against infantry lines. OC.

Evening all, more work continued on the Two horses - I basically changed their colour to match a more historically correct shade of dark Chestnuts. OC.

Just as an example here are my Waterloo 28mm figures that have been cut away from there plastic bases the glued down using CA glue.

I cut my bases off and trim the feet/shoes then use good Super Glue to fix my figures down - guess same should work with resin? You need to experiment with how much is enough but wont ooze out making a mess. OC.
