It's time to put a bow on the Caddy and call it done. She's ready to go out on the prowl. Move over Capone, and let me have a turn behind the wheel!

Saturday night, but Covid19 keeps her from enjoying a night on the town that she deserves.

I'm a little agitated with the fit of the intake manifolds on each side of the engine. They are interfering with the fit of the hood. Will have to correct these before it's all said and done.

Dry fitting is absolutely mandatory with these older model kits. Lots of dry fitting. Every part/piece that's added will often change the overall fit. Modern kit tooling has spoiled us. These older models can be built nicely, but it truly is a lot more work to do it. That's one of the reasons I lose interest with a model like this. Not complaining, just explaining. If you want to build a 1:25 1931 Cadillac V16 Roadster, there is no other alternative, and may never be another. Who would spend the money necessary to tool these molds all over again? We perhaps be impossible to recoup the cost.

Added interior window cranks, door latch handles, and an instrument cluster to replace the poor raised details of the kit parts.
Getting closer to the finish line. 🙂

Fantastic work! You might want to put a crewman with a mop and bucket in there, in case they decide to launch her!:-)

Just catching up, fantastic build, i can assure you that it is one of the strangest feelings ever to have an intense control room, and have two planesmen controlling depth and course, when you are not facing direction of travel, depth keeping is an art, and hard to judge, trimming of a vessel up or down when you then lean left or right as a result

Kontrollraum module is completed. Ceiling has been glued, painted and electrical wiring is done:
It is unfortunate that Trumpeter did not provide the extension of the sail to the pressure hull (where the ladder and periscope pass...). The back truly looks like a pressure hull, fully enclosed. I am making sure that there are no light leaks that may seep through the deck:
A few details of the finished module:
For the claustrophobia lovers...
The Kaleunt is busy watching outside:
Overall, it is one of the largest modules, and definitely the heaviest due to the amount of resin:
Installed in the hull, it fits nicely, leaving unfortunately that gap between pressure hull and sail. Not much will be visible, but I may have to remedy that lack....

Yves-I believe what you are referring to as the refrigeration compressor is actually the Main Bilge Pump. The reefer compressor and condenser are located further outboard of the pump and the associated valves that Trumpeter did not include. Here is a pic according to Don Prince and Mr. Tore.
