It must certainly be a labour of love. I thought I would comment as I believe this may be the same ship that my great-great-grandfather took from Germany (Bremen) to New York in 1856. The only other Meteor I have been able to find is a much later build in 1896. He later made his way from New York to Ontario Canada, shortly after his wife arrived in New York. All the beam 'blanks' have now been completed and I've started to work on the deck opening framing for them. Everything still, of nececcity, still unfixed, so everything needs to be carefully marked as it all goes together like a mad jigsaw puzzle. below are a couple of images of the forest of frames all roughly in place.
