Igor,

Usually we see our errors (to) late. Fortunately you know how to correct them!

I like your blocks. So easy to handle ;)

Hi Carl!

Many thanks for you feedback!
Unfortunately, this time I can not fix this error... For this, it would have required to make again the mast and main sail. I started doing this model at a time when I did not have enough information about many of the details of this boat. Later my friends from England sent me some photos, but, unfortunately, it was already a bit late :(
As it turned out, these blocks are quite easy to make. Now I need to figure out how to make a few double blocks.

I would suggest to use the same method as for the single blocks ;)

Jan does have a point though. You still haven't said what is wrong ... although, your top mast is a bit short, and a yard is missing below the top mast, as far as I could distinguish on a picture

Many thanks, Jan and Carl, for your support!

As I think, there are several mistakes. Firstly, the position of the attachment point of the gafel to the mast is too highly. And the distance between mast yoke and mast cap too small. This does not possible to make the correct rigging of this node. Please, look at the attached photo:

Hello to all!
Yesterday I tried another technology for making blocks. This block has a pulley and its length is 2.5 mm. Perhaps for someone this information will be useful.
Now I want to try to make a smaller block using this technology. Also I need to make double and triple blocks.

You can't mean that, Igor. It can't be true, you must be having a giant match stick and blow up fingers ... 2.5mm :huh: Do you really want to make double and tripple blocks at the planned smaller size ...?

Looking impressive!

how did you make the puley?

jan

Jan, I made this pulley from a brass tube with a help of a minidrile and the file.

Oh, Jesse, I use glasses and sometimes "magic glasses" :)

The match is a bit of an overkill to keep the mast up, Igor. I really like your sails, and the rigging.Wonderful work!

Hello to all!

For almost a month I did not post updates, though, the work was quietly conducted. Now I will make up for lost time

So, the next stage of the construction was the making the railings. I have, if possible, delayed this stage, because I prefer to install them whenever possible, so as not to interfere with the work.

Racks of railings I cut from medical needles. In the gunwale I drilled holes for them. I screwed a very thin wire rings with legs to paste them into the upper ends of the posts and then stretch the railings through the rings.

That's a nice way to make the railing, very well done

Many thanks, Carl!
It was very laborious work, but it seems that these efforts were worth it. :)

Then I decided to make the fife rail), on which the running ends of the gaff will be fixed. In the original, this is a kind of metal band with nests for nagels, but I decided to make this part easier, because All the same it will not be visible under to the skeins of the ropes.
